roots in nutrient solution question

i'm thinking about getting an aerofarm http://www.eurohydro.com/aerofarm.html, which is basically just a bucket with a pump and mister attachments to a tube.

My question is - when the roots get long they will be IN the nutrient solution, doesn't this rot them? I'm a bit confused about this. I mean the DWC systems have an airstone or something to oxygenate the water but this aerofarm system doesn't so how do the roots not die?

Thanks!

I was worried about it in my system too so I went and spent 12 dollars to set myself up with a bubbler setup.

but I dont think there would be much rot unless you have alot of still water. which there shouldnt be.

But I dont know, im a noob and cant get anyone to answer my questions or make posts in my grow topic.

LOL!

I have this problem too :)

thanks for the reply though :) I think you're right, the water wont be completely still because of the misted water falling down into the reservoir again. i guess that must be it - thanks!
