Roots dissolving, help!!

Hi, I am growing dwc and i started 4 clones, 2 of each of 2 different strains. one of each of them are now doing extremely well, im about 4 weeks into vegging them. one of the plants that was the biggest and fastest growing in the beginning is now the smallest. it all started when my ballast came in the mail, and i put my 600w mh into my closet. it heated up wayyyyy too much, over 100 degrees, and i experimented with different ventilation methods without success over about 2 1/2 days, then went back to the fluorescant. about a week later, i pulled them all out of the closet, and have them under the mh at about 78 degrees. but ever since the heat problem in the closet, the one plant had crinkled leaves and got passed up in growth by all the other plants. i recently moved 2 into a separate res and after about 3 days noticed that there is a lot of root particles coming off of the one crippled plant. is it root rot?? the leaves are a little darker towards the top, but still white at the tips. there are root particles on the sides of my res, and i am starting to get very worried. please help!!

thx

As you didn't sum up the situation in a thousand or more words it is not equal to the value of a picture.

Cant tell you anything without a peek...

anyone have any ideas before i can post a picture??

there are a whole bunch of particles in the res, coating some of the walls. it's nasty, but doesn't smell at all that i can tell.

Well roots can naturally shed... so if they appear to be healthy then it is probable that they are healthy. You should remove them either way, they will start to rot for sure.

i had that happen to a DWC grow a while back! it sucked, and it was root rot from high rez temps. i removed the plants from the DWC and rinsed the roots with fresh water. that got all the rot off and the white roots were still under the green goo i washed off i put them back in the res and put fans around all my 5 gallon buckets then moved the light up a bit further than it should have been. that fixed my problem. you need super good outflow of air from your grow area with a DWC grow or you'll always fight root rot. good luck!
