There's just a ton of variables here. Personally I'd just start with fresh soil, but not because of the roots. More the amount of nutrients you already depleted from the soil while growing the male. What your suggesting may work but definitely wouldn't be optimal. Also, not sure how far along your male is but I'd want to be sure it didn't leave any pollen behind.

I don't see a problem with it. The left-over roots are just more organic bits and won't do anything special to attract pests and you can always add some more nutes as needed.

Except for corona virus so all us pot growers are doomed! lol

Thank you for the replies. No pollen yet as I'm only 9 days into the flip. Will start over with fresh soil. Thanks again
