Rootbound ?

Well now I know better about leaving Meta-Data in my photos. Erased the last post, but suppose I could have just removed the pics and replaced them with clean ones. Oh well, live and learn.

So after the last episode of drooping curling leaves, I transplanted into the 5 gall pot system and the plant took off gangbusters. 3 weeks later and something is wrong.

Homemade drip system, runs 1/2 hour every 3 hours.
Indoor , hydroton, 400 w veg lamp.
Air pump with aerator in the reserve tank with the pump for O2
Rather light with the nutes, Miracle grow, (what I got).

Pictures on this forum don't always show for me and I have to get out and plow snow, so I'm asking for some quick help. Thanks in advance. Will be back in a few hours to see whats up and answer any other questions.

It's not root bound -- that's for certain. I see some nitrogen curl at the top. The yellow edges could be a few things but kind of looks like the beginnings of some potassium burn. I've seen people have great success with miracle grow but I know a lot of people dare not even mention its name because they feel it's that terrible -- I've never ever seen miracle grow nutrients used for a hydro grow tho -- but it's gotten you this far and the plant looks relatively healthy so I would start by checking the normal stuff -- ph -- and ppms. It definitely looks nutrient related, maybe a little to hot for the little lady.

Ok, Wasn't sure what rootbound meant. It was clogging up the outflow sometimes.
I would have thought first off that it is heat related. A remote sensor at the top of the grow reads in the 80's . I am moving the light up 2 - 4 chain links up every day. Fan leaves up top bigger than my hand. But I thought that the leaves discoloring lower on the plant would be related to something else. Can heat stress do this?

So I just put a larger fan blowing across it and we shall see.
I also adjusted the PH, but don't know anything about checking the ppms. yet
( and raised the light another 2 links since this afternoon ) 11 inches away.
I'm on 24 h light, would like to flower her, but thought I should get this problem solved first.
Think I'll go 16 / 8 tonight, might help though.

BTW As far as anybody concerned about pruning or thinning, I did a major clean of all the inner leaves and growth about 6 days ago.
The plant immediately went into shock, looked like it was dying, and in 4 hours, w hydro running, it was back and won't stop.:C)
I did this as I was putting so many hours in trimming all those popcorn buds.

As far as using designer nutrients, I get discouraged as there are so many and they and their popularity change every week. (too many choices ) Miracle Grow does work, 4 grows now.. But I'm open to suggestions.
I do add Cal-Mag during flowering.

Miracle grow in hydro?...

I'm following this one...

Oh, roots look great.

Edit: If you are worried about designer nutrients, etc... try using Botanicare. I use the soil mix and it works wonderfully. Crawl on here has been using the hydro formula in soil and his plants look awesome.

I can only assume their hydro formula in hydro would work just as well. And it's only like $17/liter (what I get it for anyways). Might be worth experimenting with on your next grow.

Then again. You said you are four grows in with MG. Sounds like you have it pretty-well dialed in. I'm interested in this one :)

I checked on those Botanicare nutes, and almost ordered, but decided to finish this one with the Miracle Grow.
Maybe I should start a "Miracle Grow Hydro thread ?
I do add Cal-mag when going to flower which will be in a day or so.

What was the meta data issue with your photos?

I left my contact data and my website copyright in it. Not paranoid, but very cautious. (Cannabis is not legal here)

A word to the wise, a lot of your newer cameras, almost ALL phones and tablets even have GPS data in the picture.
Open your photo, look for "image information, or EXIF data" and see what is being shown.
If it's not stripped out, I can download your picture from here and check the Metadata.
Photoshop has a "Save for web" option and allows you to choose what if any info is in the picture.
Something to play with ... http://www.findexif.com/

PS This is for jpeg only. When in doubt, change pic file format to BMP or PNG before posting.

Yea, most stores for android and iPhone have apps that can check the exit and god data directly on your phone or whatever. I keep all that crap off.
