like the plant grew in a u shape with the roots pointing in the same way as the baby leaves...
i just dug a hole and put the roots going downwards as much as possible...

if the roots grew up maybe the soil was dry down below and moist on top so the roots grew upwards for water?and what youve done should work if the soils wet all the way through but not overly wet,you dont wana suffercate the roots.
