Root bound?

How can you tell if a plant s rootbound or not? Can it be rootboubd in flower? And will the growth completely halt or just slow?
 
Gonna need some pics brotha. Sometimes a rootbound cannabis plant shows strange symptoms that almost look like nutrient deficiencies, overwatering and/or vice versa. So you might actually have a deficiency and its not root bound (impossible to tell without pics). How long have you had it in the same container, how big is the container?

So if the said plant becomes rootbound, will the growth completey stop or will it just slow down dramatically? Container size is an issue due to grow space
