Root bound! 16 days into flower HELP!!

i just transplanted into a large rubbermaid like container with p gravel in the bottom for drainage how bad is this gonna be for the plant as far as stress?? this is my first grow tryin to learn what not to do. i think ive about dont it all now! lol help me plz

Shouldn't be too bad on it as long as you didn't handle it too rough, should resume normality in a couple days.
 
oh i have heard that transplanting can cause alot of stress and was worried about a hermie
also why do you say root bound isnt real? seems to make sinseto me but i could be wrong please explain.

ive flowered many "root bound" plants with no problem... you could also just put another pot full of soil under it and the roots will grow through fine

if you were worried why did you do it b4 asking????
 
some growers swear by stressing out their plants during flowering,,,they say it makes the buds bigger and stronger..so hey maybe you were taping in to something subconsciously :weed:
 
if a plant is root bound does it stunt growth because it hasnt grow hardly at all for about month and its also flowering very slow.

stressin a flowering plant defiantly doesnt make bigger stronger buds. it can make flowering take longer and possibly reduce yeild
 
May we assume there are drainage holes under that pea gravel?

I could be mistaken, but I don't think you want roots growing vigorously during flowering. They should be about finished traveling, having served their primary purpose, IMO?
 
yes there are holes for drainage.i have heard that a plant will double or triple in size once flowering is induced but mine is not growing, and this is why i was concerned. so i thought maybe more space to grow. she has been in that pot since it was around 5-6" tall.

I've heard this before as well. Is there anything to this rumor that stressing the plant a few weeks into flower will help produce better nugz?
