HigH people. Well I am starting my first ever Canna CoCo grow. This is my third ever grow. I just harvested my second autoflower grow. So now I am ready to grow some regular strains! My previous two grows I used fox farms ocean forest soil and a nutrient kit called the recipe for success by technaflora. After reading about CoCo here on RIU I decided I wanted to use CoCo for my next grow. So the seeds(LSD&BlueMystic) have been germinated. I like to put my seeds between a couple moist napkins on a saucer. I then place them inside of a produce bag and set on top of my cable modem this time. I create a little dome and it gets nice and humid in there. So far I have had a 100% success rate. lol Ive only tried it on 10 seeds so far but it has germinated all of them.View attachment 1458606View attachment 1458607

I ordered some seeds from the attitude. I got some Barneys Farm LSD and Nirvana Seeds Blue Mystic. I also Ordered some Short Stuff Seeds Blue Himalaya Diesel autos for a friend. Got a bunch of freebies also.View attachment 1458620View attachment 1458621

Like the title of the thread says I am a rookie to coco and canna, so any advice will be appreciated and maybe rewarded with a + rep. So the nutes that I have are Canna CoCo A&B,Cannazyme,Rhizzotonic(still to be bought soon), Hammer Head, Atami BloomBastic, And I have some MagiCal left from my first two grows.View attachment 1458627

I also have PH up and down, a hannah ph meter, and a HM digital com 100 ec/tds/temp meter(which I have no clue how to use yet). Anyone have any advice on using this meter? Like the pics show the seeds are germinated and I have put them in the CoCo. I gave a little ph'd water 5.8 and they are now inside of my cabinet. My cabinet is 5'Hx3'Wx2'D. I have a Carbon Filter mounted up top inside. On the top, outside of the cabinet is the mounted exhaust fan. My Light is a 270W Enhanced Spectrum Supernova LED. So far I am very pleased with my light. It has performed exactly as I had hoped it would on my previous two grows!P2230170.jpgP2230173.jpgP2230171.jpgP2230174.jpg

I guess I need to get to the local Canna dealer and get some of the Rhizzo asap. Im pretty sure that is all I am missing. Other than trying to figure out this new meter. I am totally new to measuring EC/TDS ! Trying to figure out if my water is hard or soft. I did a test with the meter and had it set to PPM 442 and it was reading42.6. I have no clue if that is good or bad! Anyone with any help on this will get a +rep for sure. Do I need to add magical. Anyway thanks for checking out my grow! I will be keeping it updated with pics and info, because I may need some help! As with the previous two grows I have I am nervous as hell and always second guessing!! Now I have a whole new medium im using with new nutes and a new meter. Im definitley gonna need some advice along the way!:leaf:

Hi ChroniC nice lookin setup bro real tidy........I havent got a ec/ppm meter thingy but i know canna nutes are designed for tap water with a ec of 0.2 and i think but dont take my word on this that 200ppm is the same as 0.2 ec so if it is(check 1st)and your only 42.6 you should add the magical till you hit the 200ppm but you dont need to worry about it at this stage just tap water ph'd will be good bro

Im all subbed up bro lookin foward to seein the led in action ive never seen a grow with 1 so should be cool........good luck mate!!!!!

Right on pukka thanks for the info. I'll look into that. Gonna check on the ec of the tap water. Still trying to get a feel for the meter.

That's cool your the first poster and subscriber to my thread! Thanks for stopping by. I'm about to have some surgery on Monday. Gonna be out of work for at least 6 weeks. I should have plenty of time to obsess on my ladies and keep this thread updated. As for the LED light I am very happy with it! It was expensive, but I saved and sold my tama drum set to get it and other equipment to grow my own medicine. So far after two auto grows I have no complaints about the light. I'm anxious to see how she performs on this grow since they are regular growing strains this time. I got the blue spectrum up 100% and the red is about 75% until flowering time. Anyway gotta go for now thanks for checking it out bro!!

Well hopefully I didn't mess with mother nature to much this morning! The blue mystic popped thru. I was wondering about the LSD since when I put them in the coco it had the longest taproot of the two. I thought for sure it would be the first to pop thru. Well I looked closely at the top of the coco and could see the seed was kinda going sideways. I cleared some of the coco very carefully and could see it was bent and looked to be going sideways into the coco. After clearing and freeing it I think it's gonna sprout right up. Gave them a little water also.

Still not sure about the using an ec meter. Guess I just need someone to break it down like I'm a four year old. I tested my tap water and my ppm is around 42.6 I switched to test ec and it reads 67.3 something like that. Can someone help a rookie out and explain ec and ppm. Any input is appreciated! Thanks for stopping by!

Well they have both popped thru and shed their seed husks. The blue mystic is a little taller at this point. Not surprising since the LSD was a little bent underneath the coco. She is straightening up nice though. Only prob I'm having is real low humidity. It is really cold and we have really dry air this week. Hoping we can get some rain soon to get some moisture back In the air. I put a little bowl inside with water and a little towel hoping to bring up the RH. Hasn't appeared to work so far. Checked this morning.

I finally got the rhizotonic yesterday so I now have all my nutrients. I know pukka mentioned using the rhizo once true leaves have formed. Probably a few more days for that. Aight back to work for now. I'll post pics soon.

HigH people. Well I haven't been able to update for a couple days due to a fever of 102 degrees. I also had surgery this morning also. Sorry no pics yet. Maybe in a couple days when I am more mobile. They plants seem to be fine though. I actually gave them a mild watering of the coco a and b along with the rhizotonic for the first time this morning before heading to the hospital. Will see how they respond and start upping the dose accordingly. My RH has really improved. I have my exhaust fan on a timer so when it's off the RH is in the 40-50% range and of course with my LED the temp only gets up to 82-85 degrees when the fan is off. Thanks for stopping by I'll get some pics up in the next day or two. I got the next 2 months to obsess on my little ladies while recuperating from surgery.

So its been three days since they popped thru and I was wondering what peoples opinions are on the light schedule for the seedling and vegetative stages are? I was planning on 24 hrs during the seedling stage then switch to 18/6 during vegetative. What about 24/0 till flowering? Anyone doing this? Should I have the light on 18/6 from seedling to flower? Just wondering what's the best way. I only have two autoflower grows of experience and I had my light on a 20/4 schedule for those. Thanks for any info and opinions on this!

HigH people! Well surgery on your ankle aint no joke! Sucks trying to take care of my babies hopping around on one leg. Anyway i gave them a feeding today. Since they are in 4" pots I only mixed up a half gallon to feed. For this feeding I mixed 5ml of the rhizotonic, 2.5ml of coco A&B. I ph'd to 5.8, and the EC reading of this mix was 0.82. The water I used was some RO water that I got from the grocery store out of the machine they have. 45 cents per gallon. I tested the EC of the water before using and it was o.oo. The previous feeding was 2.5ml of rhizotonic, and 1.25ml of coco A&B. So I am going to raise the dosage each time and see how they respond. So far everything is all good as far as I can tell. Here are a few pics from this morning and as always any input and feedback are greatly appreciated and could result in a +rep for ya! LOL Thanks for following my grow!!!P3020159.jpgP3020160.jpgP3020162.jpgP3020161.jpgP3020158.jpg

Forgot to mention that I also switched my light to 18/6 last night. Also finally put my exhaust on a timer and it has really helped the RH inside the cabinet.

8 days since they popped thru. So far so good. Loving the coco and canna! Fed them yesterday and today they have signs of new growth. Looks like they may have a little stretch to them. I gave them 5ml of the rhizo 3ml of coco a&b mixed with a half gallon of water. Only mixing a half gallon at a time don't want to waste nutes while upping the nutes each time. I think I'm on the right track. Wondering when to transplant from the 4" pot to 3 gallon pots. So I have the coco a&b rhizotonic cannazyme hammerhead pk and atami bloombastic. I've been reading about shooting powder and also budxl here on RIU. anyone know if I can use those two in conjunction with the nutes I already have? Or is it too much? Are the shooting powder and the budxl the same as the bloombastic and the hammerhead I have? Any suggestion on adding anything else to the mix? Or am i good to go with what I have? Also wondering if anyone has any experience using the bubbleator or the bubblenow hash making machines? Anyone have any experience using a dry sift like the bubble box or the tumble now, easy kief, or any dry sifting machine like these and the pollinator? Was Really looking at the bubbleator machine until i seen the bubblebox and the easy kief dry sifters. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for following along. A few pics from today: the Supernova

Here is the LSD

here is the Blue Mystic

Hey ChroniC lookin good mate.............so you usin 10ml/g rhiz and 6ml/g a&b sounds about right mate, all i'd say is i'd start raisin the rhiz quicker then you are the A&B so your maybe at full strength in a few days and leave it at that for a while its for the roots ya no!, and keep raisen the a&b like you are
You dont need any more nutes mate youve got everthin covered with what you got!!

HigH people. The plants are gonna love my new toy! I bought a digigro coco co2 monitor and regulator on eBay for $350. Was $369 but I offered $350 and he accepted. Should be here in a few days, now I gotta get a tank. Anyone have any suggestions on the size tank I will need? My cabinet is 5'Hx3'Wx2'D. The cool thing about this co2 monitor is that it automatically regulates the ppms to 1200-1500. Keep it simple. That's what I'm talking about! Anyone out there have this co2 unit? Anyone have any advice for a rookie on using co2? Been doing research on co2 but it's always good to hear more info. Thanks for any advice.

I was looking at using the loot on some sort of hash machine. But I'm gonna try the gumby method. Seen someone on here doing it and it looks easy. Plus I think the addition of co2 to my garden is better than one of those overpriced machines! I also seen a post of this dude who made what is pretty much a bubblenow machine for about $100. He bought a little mini washing machine for $55. It looks a lot like the bubblenow machine.
