rw, what kinda lights are you using and how far do you keep them from plants (average)?...

Hello gunslinger, I am using four kinds of light, in the big box I have a 400w HPS that's about 16" above tallest plant, I have the reflective barrier on sides so it like a giant hood, I let them grow into it. I can adjust all my boxes by raising or lower the plant, not the light, because of the different sizes of the plants.
I build the new box to be able to get even light on the littler plant, the Fluorescent fixtures stair step following the roof pitch so back of three lights is 3 to 4 inches above the 1st I can get a plant 2ft tall including can. The bulbs are t-12 plant and aquarium, 40w 1600 lumens, just what they had hardware store and couple from home depot. I hear ppl talking about t-5's, I don't know the different between the two. I got them my first grow and grew 5 1/2 tall plant including bucket. They work, I try to keep the plants 2or3 inches from light, that calls for different sized props. I have 240w actual use in there.
In the box i am finishing some hermi. away from everything else, I have 3 cfl's . One is a regular cfl 28w equal a 100w. The other two are cfl lamp or spot light they are cool because they are more powerful then reg. cfl and they have a warm spectrum 23w, 1300 lumens. I have a total of 74w in there. The regular one can be 2to 4 inches and the spot lights about 5or6 inches. The power co. out was selling them for 99 cent so brought 7 of them without even thinking about growing, that cheap.lol
The cardboard box to be able to give 6 more hours of light, which works great by the way, I have spot light with a reflector is as high as I can get it to stretch as much as possible for 12/12.
Hopefully that will explain my lighting methods. I had all stuff for newer box sitting around.. later bro..rw

I average probably on sativa dom 3' and on indica/dom 18" to 24". I have three I veged 10 days they 31/2 ft tall and growing, except mellon kush that's 2' tall and throw sugar those are over 45 days old total, I didn't top them. Yes I did complicate things, but that's what being on here all the time does to you. I thinking of doing dwc bucket.At least it's a labor of love.lol..rw

sorry i should've clarified...im really baked right now...i meant to ask if there was an average size you let the clones get to before you throw 'em in the 12/12...

Watch out I heard that stuff bad for you.lol Probably around 18', maybe taller. The ones I have in there now were about that size when I put them in there. I didn't top them and there are over three feet and this one that a African strain called waszulu, is over4 ft tall. The two bud filled plant in my sig. are clones put in about 18in tall when I put in flower. Lucky I can grow to about 51/2 ft including bucket. Don't over bake.lol..rw

I was telling you guys about the big swings in temp and rh. Wed. it was 75 degrees and 15%rh. today the high is supposed to be 40 degree and 70% rh. It snowed about 11/2 ft yesterday. There an ice hanging down 2'. It will probably melt by wed and be 80 degree. How is that for weather? I can only try to keep from being too cold or too hot. They go thru hell and it makes them tough and strong. People on here are always worried about stressing out the weeds, as you can see the weed is going to be stressed out.
The old hippies in 70's told me that when they grew they would stress out their weeds, like letting them go a day longer without water. They showed me the difference; one grow was gentle like and another stress out. The ones who were stress were stronger, almost twice as strong. Some of the growers on here that micro manage their weeds. Hell you have to have a heater, fans, air con., humidifier, dehumidifier and thermostat to run it all. Please it's only a weed, if you ever had a garden, weeds are thing you spend all your time trying to get rid of. Now if you were worried about smell, you would never pull it off, that's why we didn't grow inside till we could legal like.

Hello all, the hermis had to go for four reasons; they are hermis, was gifted 4 more clones, I need their box to veg clones some ( 10 to 14 days), over plant limit.
I now have 6 clones in converted back veg. box there are; a waszula, a wild thai, a sky walker, a purple kush and two he forgot what they were. I like clones because they flower faster than seeded plants, that what I notice.
I think if I had more money and plants I could grow, I would have one or two more projects going. That's all for now....rw

I have been using fox farms grow big and tiger bloom, it works good, but I have been thinking of getting something else. The guy I trust been growing 20yr say he tried a lot of different nutes, he uses General Organics. So I order their starter box from amazon for $34.00 total cost.
It has 16oz Bio thrive grow, 16oz Bio thrive bloom, 8oz ca/mg, 8oz bio root, 8oz bio weed, 8oz bio bud, 8oz marine, 8oz black diamond.

Here is something different. I went last night to look in veg. box and in a new seedling pot was a strange mushroom growing with seedling. I posted a pic. and a guy said it was the mycorrazae was fruiting and put a little espom salt on it. It's a good thing I guess. Here is a pics;
