Rockwoool needed

Can anyone tell me whee i can purcahase rw or a simular medium using sponge now instead of rw and it doesnt seem to be working. I've been to wally world, home depot and neither carry it I just hope its not too far out of season to find it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanx riu.
 
Right but he is saying you don't need rockwool. its nice to start plants in but it raises the ph overtime.

I just use hydroton. $1 for 1Litre of rocks or $42 for a 50L bag.

Rock wool is best found at a local hydro store or better garden centers.

yes, you dont have to have rockwool. but he is using it, so know what your talking about first . he was confused by the two.
 
Yes i was talking about rockwool i already have hydroton but i need sumthn (cant find rockwool) to germ seed in and place into hydroton.
