rockwool or soil

should i use rockwool for the seedlings through part of the veg stage untill they get there roots and then transfer them into soil, or should i just go straight into the soil? and if i use rockwool should i use a nutrients mixture?thanks

First off, nice ass. Second, I start right off the bat with soil. That way you don't need to bother with transplanting. Just use the biggest containers you can and you're set. Also, I don't recommend using nutes until the seedlings are established (~a week or two). Good luck.

I would also germ a seed first then put it directly in soil. start in rockwool if your going to put it in a hydro system. no nutes for first few weeks in soil i agree with.

yeah i didnt use rock wool i just used something called a jiffy pellet today when i got done germinating and im gonna see how that works out

I'm a soil guy myself. Save the money and just buy a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil. It'll do the trick from start to finish.

deffinitly go with the fox farm its got worm casting and bat guano in it and its got a great soil to perilite ratio. Good advice M420
