rockwool, do you remove the wrapper?

my rockwool does not fall apart and stays in cube form even when soaked.

so my question is: do you remove the plastic wrapper around the cube?

my cubes are surrounded by hydro rocks and i wonder if i will get more roots coming out the sides of the net pots if i remove the plastic around the cube?

are there any real benefits to removing/leaving the wrapper?

personally i think it helps keep the cube moist for longer time, but i think it also limits the root ball from getting extra air and may cause uneeded mold/bacteria between the plastic and the cube.

I leave it on until I move them to a pot, then remove.
