I am about to buy an ro system. My question is which one?!:wall: Should I get a house one or aquarium one? The aquarium one takes out all TDS while some minerals are left in the house one I believe. Also how many GPD is good? How long would it take one of these systems to fill up a 40gal res? Thanks for all the help.:bigjoint:

Listen we are just use those 100GPD RO systems, but we build a huge tank for it with a large trash can. You get a float valve, feed it to the float valve and then put a spiket on the bottom, or hose attachment. Then you have 50 gallons ready when you need em..

1/4 compression nut is on the RO system side, it just compresses on to a 1/4 tube you can buy extra of it at Home Depot right next to the compression nuts. Then work a cross over to whatever float valve you end up with and you are done.

So again
55 Gallon Trash can
Hole in the side for Float Valve
1/4 Tube comes from RO system
1/4 Compression nut to whatever float valve
Hose connection at the bottom

Here's the one I have, working great for months now... Fucking 6 stage bro! Tastes great too.

P.S.
If you get this one undo all the compression nuts they have on the hoses on the system, then put them back in firmly. They build them quickly and they don't stick them in far enough, so it could pop off. Ask me how if you don't know.

The filter guys. A few dollars more much better quality membrane and housings. If you want DI filtration get full sized clear housings that are vertical and not horizontal. The horizontals are too small and are used up too quickly and they do not work as well as the horizontals. Purewater Club RO systems are about bottom of the rung as far as quality. Hell their so proud of the membranes they use they do not even give a brand or manufacturers name. The housings are made up cheap ass polypropolene and only one is not opague and it is blue tinted. Sad, sad equipment. Some would however fall back on that old growers saying "it works well enough."
