RIU Ninjam server

I know there's some musicians or at least wannabe musicians on riu. how bout an official ninjam server or two hosted by riu?

Drums, but want to learn violin at some point in time - am not sure if RIU is running on FreeBSD though, and Ninjam may not be stable enough for a windows production box - have never checked.. would also require tons of bandwidth upstream, and preferably an unlimited amount or the costs would be truly outrageous for decent settings x a decent amount of users.

you got your drums mic'd or is it a digital set? digital sets and ninjam are sweet, m ic'd sets that wound decent are too, there was this one guy with a roland v pro set m, he tore that motherfucker up. I just got a yamaha dtx set because roland is so fucking uppity. I don't even really play drums but play better than some.
I do play some guitar, one dude ask me if I could play once while we were sitting there by my guitar and I was like "kinda" , I picked it up and played some original shit I' play and he says "damn, that sound like some dirty ass hendrix" that was the best compliment I've gotten in my life.other than that I'm a noob

I haven't touched `em in over 2 years, have had them since 83', - had to get put up due to move and lack of space until I convince the wife it's time to go fish them out and keep her up all hours of the morning when I can't sleep. Tis an oldschool Tama set - and as for mic'd or digital, neither. Would just throw the mixing muffs on, throw some 70s relaxing shit on and play on.

damn boi there's still some hardcores running servers.amazing they're still up. jamming over inet is like gaming over inet, it just can't be done in realtime

I'm sure, and I think I may have to talk to the wife about the kit - haven't seen it out since before we got married. Wonder if it's a conspiracy.

i thought vbulletin was php. i can't imagine riu is on a windows server. in which case if it is being served on a linux distro, you can apget the source and compile to whatever distro its serving.. which i suspect its some flavor of redhat.. no? maybe im behind the times..

Vbulletin is php, and has a windows install regime in place.. as messed up as that is - is why I didn't rule it out, but I didn't want to port scan the RIU box and see what ports are open to make an educated guess as to the OS... lol Could be Fedora, awesome stable build with SELinux goodies that were at one point separate from the main.

Cloudflare uses nginx, Apache, and Windows... Im guessing they use nginx

Forgot about the cloudflare .. but then again, it doesn't work at all.. unless my browser script security isn't allowing some fucked up redirect as needed to find anything..

I just ran a trace route then ip lookup on the domain servers, sure enough.. cloudflare.. but depending on the ip range.. i dont know if they use a linux flavor or windows.. but im sure that can be figured out with a little more investigation..
