Just read a good chunk of it. Still a cloudy subject when you get down to the details, especially for men trying to put together in our heads that ridiculous list of excuses they used. It seemed to point towards women feeling sensitive to the risk of being judged.

women seem more 'rule bound' than men.
i noticed this among dogs.
mature females we're usually the ones doing the 'norm' enforcing.
to me it explains the failure of many relationships
not sayin' women are dogs just that most guys, self included, don't like being 'normed' to death
day in, day out it gets annoying
i feel badly that women don't just let it all hang out

Wish I'd figured it sooner.
It's not that we all couldn't improve.
Just that the general rule seems to be: guys need to tighten some things up, ladies need to let a lot slide.

My ex was raised by a psycho-abusive mother and a bipolar pothead father and was studying in criminal justice.

I hate the suits and uniforms that represent our "justice" system, and I like to grow and smoke ganja.

I'm older. I'm calmer and happier than my 'competitors'.
I don't feel the same as when I was younger so I look at all my mistakes as part of a learning process.

I feel as if I'm emerging into that state of mind more and more each day. I like it. A small part of it is knowing that as I grow older, it's becoming easier to rely on my own company in addition to those I deeply care about rather than the approval of strangers generously titled as acquaintances. Really, I've been seeking stability in my life for quite some time now. It'll come closer and closer each day, and I'm talking about general overall stability. Not just relationships, homes, career, financial, and companionship. Y'know what I mean I'm sure. It's wayyyy past the time to catch some ZZZs for me, I'm having trouble putting together complete sentences that actually make sense. :S
