How do I claim my card?
Seeing that you are quoting the very post that caused me to make the offer, I need some convincing.

Yes, I know. That’s why I used that example.

You thought that post was whiney? I didn’t get that impression at all. That was my point.

Keep the Amazon card, I buy local whenever I can anyway.

If someone else had said it, it would be 72% less whiney. But this guy can ONLY criticize the one party that can beat Trump and doesn't seem to criticize him very often.

Nope.

It's zero. He's talking about something he knows nothing about.
I’m sure there were some shady deals made, there always is.

What I do know is that Idealism alone is no match against people without shame and that’s what Congressional Republicans are.

If you’re not prepared to play dirty you’re going to be stuck with a very conservative SC for a long time.

It saddens me to see those who have no faith in the people or the system call for the adoption of the same sort of shit being done by mcconnell and Trump. What would that leave you with afterward?

Its especially disheartening, though no longer surprising to hear this from those claiming to be "Progressives."

Oh well, the right doesn't have a monopoly on fans of tyranny.

I don't want to wish my life away but I can't wait until summer 2021.

It's going to be a long winter. Where does President Joe even start to begin to clean up this massive mess?

Dig in anywhere I suppose. There are a lot of broken systems. He'll just have truly try to make America great again. I hate this shit.

Yeah. Good luck with your SC.

Thankfully my wife and daughter have Canadian citizenship too, so I’m not too worried.

No, there wasn't.

You're talking out of your ass again. If there were, you'd list them. You don't because you can't because it never happened.

The process was pretty straightforward. The only "oddity" if you're being picky is that only 27 States ratified it at the time.

But that was more than a two thirds majority so the ammendment passed.

In order for America or any society to work, there has to be good will on both sides, there is no such will on the republican side. This is not a political battle of left vs right wing ideology, it is a struggle for democracy, you are fighting for the constitution, they are fighting to end it. This is more akin to war than politics and all things are fair in love and war.

Look what happened when they tried to play normal politics with the Nazis, you have the same situation now in America.

The biggest problem the Germans had in stopping the Nazi gains in the election of 1933 that resulted in Hitler as chancellor was that a substantial faction of the vote, the Communists, refused to cooperate with the centrists in order to block him. It kind of reminds me of something more modern but I can't seem to put my finger on it.

I don't think the progressives, like third party candidates are an issue this time around. Hitler and the Nazi's gained some power (33%) and used it as the thin edge of the wedge, burning down the parliament was an excuse for an emergency decree and Goering (Barr) was in charge of the cops, game over.

America has stronger democratic institutions, traditions and a deeply instilled democratic culture, but a white racist majority who are teetering on the brink of tribalism, Trump still has a majority of the white vote, it's almost the only support he has. He still has some Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and Jews who support him, in spite of what he has said and done, 33% of every culture on earth are complete arseholes, but not all of them are suicidal, hence Trump has less than 5% black support.

I believe it will be to big to rig Baldrick, but Trump will still try, both because he is desperate and knows prison awaits (so does Barr) and because he is fucked in the head and cannot admit defeat. He will whine about a rigged election until he is muzzled and jailed by a judge, soon after the election.

See what I mean..
Trump Refuses To Commit To Peaceful Transfer Of Power | Morning Joe | MSNBC

The president again refused to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he loses to Biden in November.

I found the timing very powerful .

I agree, it is an insane moment.

I am proud that they went with 'Vote him out' though. It shows that as much of a sore that Trump picked showing up when he is dismissing RBG's last wish as a Democratic hoax, the people there mourning her loss were still far more respectable than a Trump rally where they chant to lock up Dear Leader's political 'enemies'.
