Rinsing the fine coir fibers

I’ve been seeing a lot of people say that it’s not necessary to rinse coir out these days because that’s kinda left over from back when coir was much lower quality.

The other day I transplanted and after buffering I put the coir in a fabric pot and ran water through it for a minute.

After that I grabbed handfuls and squeezed them out to field capacity before dumping it into the new pot.

After it dried this was left on the ground.

Isn’t this the super fine stuff you’re supposed to rinse out with a sieve? It definitely seems like it could get washed to the bottom of the pot and make it too thick.

It doesn’t seem to be a problem from what people are posting here I’m just curious.

I soak it in nute water for clones and all the fines sink and the rest float. I use it out the bag for plants though just watch for overwatering till roots are established

What the hell. How did you make such a mess? And why didn't you clean it up before the coco dried out? Get a broom.

Lol at the time it just looked like a puddle of water, I was really surprised to see so much coir in there this morning.
