Ricky's first RDWC grow

I enoy so much reading everyones grow journals that I just had to make one myself.

I have a few plants in some Hydroton I'm messing around with but this will be my first official grow.

The seeds were accumulated from shit weed bags drug all over the streets of DETROIT!!! (pray for the outcome) I will be attempting to clone and sex during this grow.

and away we go....

6 bucket RDWC system
I'm using ONLY Flora Nova Bloom (tribute to Scottyballs grow) - Currently at 400ppm
PH is 5.8
18/6 light cycle with a 600w MH around 30" away
Air is low 80's during light cycle and gets down to high 60's in dark cycle
Water temp is mid 70's

The only worry I have right now is the water temps - I'll be adding 2 frozen water bottles twice during the light cycle starting tomorrow and see how it works out. I'm also considering plumbing the rez bucket out of the room - the surrounding room stays low 60's all day/night.

You can pick up a cheap water chiller for about $150 and a top dog for about $350. Problem with the water bottles is it may get to cold which can be just as harmful as to warm. Also you need to about double the ppms. I never go under 500-600.

Nice room though, has a lot of potential.

I think I misread your post. You arent feeding the larger plants 400ppm are you?

Everything is looking pretty good so far - I raised the PPMs to 700 today on the advice of Mrfootball420 (GO LIONS!)

Water temps are still making me crazy - link a chiller thats under $200, I can't find one.

PH is stable at 5.8
I have the nutes up to 800ppm

I insulated the buckets to try to bring the water temp down - I've also cooled my room down a bit - water temp is now around 74

Nice room!! I have a similar rdwc with two sites and no water chiller with water temps at 70f I'm subbed. Happy growing
