Rick Simpson Oil help needed!!

Hey RIU,
I need some advice here from anyone who has experience in making quality RSO. This is my first time making RSO but i have experience making bubble hash. So what I did here was use my 220micron bubble bag as my straining devise. It was very effective in removing all plant material. I also tried further filtering with a coffee filter as directed but the coffee filter is removing what looks like good trichromes. I have attached a pic of my strained solvent ( I used 100% iso alcohol). In the bottom of the jug you will see what I am talking about. I need to know whether or not to leave that stuff in and continue to boil off the solvent..or should I filter it out. The bubble hash maker in me wants to leave it because that looks like the good stuff. I need some experienced help here.

Starting material was 1/2lb of Euphoria and PG-13 blend. Bone Dry

Run it through a coffee filter before boiling it off, the goodies should be in your solvent

The trichomes will be one of the first things to dissolve into the alcohol, what your seeing is probably a very fine powder that's left over from extraction. It's just plant material, the alcohol is gonna hold all the actives like bubble said.

Ok. I shook up the bottle and poured a few ounces through a coffee filter. The pics show what happened. It looks like good hash but after a light press I picked some up and rubbed it between my fingers and it is not at all sticky. It is very dry like fine silt. I am guessing the oils that make the trichrome bodies sticky and potent are in the solvent and what I am seeing here is just the trichrome structures. Unfortunately my microscope is not with me.

do not run it threw your bags. It will mess them up. A coffee filter is fine. If you want to learn more go to Phoenix tears .net I believe. It is Rick Simpsons web site.

Most likely the stalks and hairs. They will smolder if you attempt to smoke and are quite acrid. Its the main cause of sieved hash not bubbling, if you filtered and made it properly there shouldn't be any plant matter in your filter just those stalks and hairs resembling kief..they aren't soluble but get knocked free

Ive been all over that site for a month. I am familiar with his process but I'm just trying to check his advice vs you guys experience. I like to be thorough! Thanks for the warning on the bags..

Got a grow room?

Next time grab ur 60-100x thrich/mite spotter scope from the bloom room n look at that sediment... Find out exactly what it is....

I did that once.... I haven't made simple bubble bag hash since, lol. So much crushed mite body *shudder* so little THC, lol....

Now I rotate 3 anti-mite sprays, and just turn trim into BHO....
