RH % in Jars

I just harvested and am in the process of drying my first round of herb. I had three different size plants ranging from small to medium-large. I have been told you don't go under 7 days of drying no matter what. But I have the smallest plant drying much earlier (4 days). I checked and I think it might be a little over dried. Dry trimmed and put into jars with a small humidity checker in the jar and it read 48% when it went into the jar.....
I've read you want 57-62%, I'm assuming I've overdried this plant? Should I get those humidity packets that they have and throw one in the jar? Since it's only been an hour or two will the humidity go up in the jar, or do you think it'll just sustain at that relative humidity?

I would keep it as is. It's not far off, also, I keep bad old memories of what happened when I tried to rehumidify some dry nugs: noticeable losses in quality occured.

Relative humidity is 49% and the temperature is 66 degrees Fahrenheit in my jar right now, it has only been an hour and a half. You don't recommend any humidity boosters for the jar? As I've read that you want your humidity between 57 and 62% so I figure I am pretty low. Since it isn't that high do I still burp the jars?

Good question. I've never used those boveda packs but I'm super curious about them. This would be a good opportunity to test them out, side by side, one jar with, the other without.

Unfortunately on the small plant i only got 24.8g. I really don't want to split that up into quarters in these quart size jars...
Do you think that relative humidity in the jar at 49% is way too low?

The point of 57-62 rh is to prevent or minimize the evaporation/degradation of terpenes and other volatile cannabinoids/flavanoids. Your buds are showing 48%, that means you've lost some of the volatiles. Regardless of bringing the rh to the 50's of your buds, you cant bring back what you have already lost.

This is the reason why you hear people saying to dry them for 10 days or so. What they neglect to point out is that ideally the room rh is in the 50s%, this is how much time/days would it take for your buds to achieve equilibrium with the room rh.

Throw in some boveda packs to raise that up. They work great and will remoisten your buds. Unfortunately this will not help with your cure since the RH has already dropped out of the "cure zone" once thay happens you cannot restart the curing process

I only have to hang and dry for usually 4-5 days.........you're way past the cure zone by letting them dry too long.
