revitalizing soil?

hey all.

I've been growing for about a year, and I learned everything from this site, so first off I'd like to say thanks to all those who helped me when I was just starting out!

Now, I've got some spent potting soil and I would like to reuse it. I'm wondering what a good ratio of compost:spent soil is a good mix for new plants?

How about zero? It's not good to grow in soil with dead roots. Use new soil.

you need to decompost that old stuff to get the roots out before you think about reusing it, there aren't many nutrients in that soil left for a plant to thrive.
