Review of OilXGreen THC Extraction System

Like I said tho, I think the best thing you can do is build a rectangular box out of plastic or wood even and give it a nice paint job(or nice glossy stain if wood) with doors on hinges that open on the top to add and remove the jars and the coil permanently fixed inside it...make it look like a solid unit , I personally would build it out of wood, add a nice stain on the outside and coat the inside with flex seal so the water can just be added directly to the unit and somehow anchor the coil the the inside and instead of wrapping around the jar have it wrap around the bottom of the inside of one of the sides on the unit so you don’t have to remove it to connect the jar, then you have a product that looks nice and is worth 200, just trying to help
Dude, that takes time and effort...
With their current setup all they have to actually to do is coil some "super spendy" 316 stainless "mega" tubing around a jig.
We all know how tricky coiling can be, I mean it...takes elbow grease and shit...

The funny thing is...
@Bublonichronic, the accounts arguing in favor all sound the same...
They aren't even trying to disguise their writing, so it's like you have the company account trying to play off being professional and you have these other accounts, probably all one person, who are arguing it's validity and basically sounding like a poorly written script.

Cut, that's a "wrap."

End scene, fade to black...

The one thing I think is funny, that no one is taking about... Where the hell are you supposed to get pentane?
It is causally treated like this is something you can get at the local hardware store or purchase online without suspicion.

This isn't like isopropanol, if you purchase pentane, the seller knows what you are going to use it for...

Plus if you are caught with this contraption, in most states this would be considered a still and unless you have a license to run a still (for fuel) and perform alcohol extraction (also illegal in most states), you are looking at steep fines and possible jail time.

Even dismantled, the coil alone can land you in jail...

I wouldn't want to get caught with one of these in my possession...

Why risk all of that, when a simple distillation glass lab-ware setup costs about the same (you can use pentane in that too) and legally speaking is in a "gray" area.
Plus when the SHTF, glass turns to dust really easily...
Try doing that with your "spendy" seamless 316 Stainless Steel "mega" tubing....

Just saying...

Pentane huh? How's your extract test for residuals without a vacuum purge?
@WeedFreak78, pentane is a pretty common laboratory extraction solvent, which usually leaves nothing behind.
That coupled with it's low boiling point make it a good choice for distillation in labs.

But outside a lab, I would be cautious about buying pentane, because it's pretty obvious what you will be using it for (especially if it is shipped to a residential address) and unless you have a solvent extraction license for your area, I wouldn't take the chance to draw any more attention then need be...
It is much easier to get an alcohol distillation license to make ethanol "fuel" and then use what you distill for your extracts.
This way if someone rats you out and the fuzz shows up, you have a license and they will have to go away (eventually)...

If the fuzz does show up and you have an unregistered "still" or parts of a still, pentane, and no license, they are going to set up camp at your house and stick around until they can find as much to use against you as possible...

The coil alone on the still can be used to nail you with a felony.

However if you have a simple distillation setup using lab glass, this sort of falls into a gray area legally.
They may confiscate it, but you won't see jail time.
If you have a license to make fuel and you register your glass, there is nothing they can do to you, unless they can manufacture something...

So, I wouldn't risk using something that to a cop looks like a hooch still, when for less money you can get a simple distillation setup, register it, sign up for a license and put yourself in a position to be guarded in case they come knocking...

I buy mine here - http://www.rightpricechemicals.com/buy-n-pentane-99-online.html
Graingers sells Pentane as do many chemical supply stores.
@OilXGreen,
The same chemical supply stores who keep a tally of how much you buy and when you buy it and then freely hand these records over to the cops...

That's exactly what your customers need to know...

Since 9/11, everything changed.
I used to be able to buy Iso at the local chem store, no name, nothing. I just went in asked for it, paid cash and walked out.
Post 9/11, if I pay cash, I have to sign a form and it asks for details...
The same details they can easily get when one pays with a credit card.

So, while pentane is an amazing solvent, it is irresponsible to put your customers in jeopardy this way.

As a responsible business, shouldn't you have proven your product produces clean material before offering it to the general public? Will you provide full refunds if it doesn't test clean?
@WeedFreak78,
Watch, as soon as the test results come back, the price will go up 15%...
I suppose the first round of customers were beta testers...

Wow I can't believe this is even a product. Seriously, this is pretty weak sauce and probably dangerous in the wrong hands.
@Renfro,
It is super illegal...
They are selling "stills" to customers who apparently aren't aware that even the possession of still parts can land them in jail.

Plus we all know how smart people are and having access to a low boiling point flammable solvent like pentane...
What could go wrong?

I am honestly surprised RIU allowed this as a Rollitup Advertiser, I guess they are desperate for advertising money. Not my table I suppose. But this is pretty fucked up.
