1st attempt and reversing a strain to collect some Pollen. These sacs have opened up and throwing nanners. Are these nanners what hold and release the Pollen? Can anyone tell me roughly how long before these male flowers start dropping Pollen?20230506_201145.jpg20230506_201123.jpg20230506_201058.jpg20230506_200951.jpg

So it's my understanding I should harvest these flowers into a bag to dry before they drop Pollen in the tent. Is this correct?
Some people do it that way. I'm pretty lazy and pollinate on my table. But someone who actually does that will be along and fill you in.

I collect the pollen sacs and pollinate manually, but I usually have other plants nearby where I cant risk loose pollen flying around. If I had a whole area dedicated to making seeds Id just let the pollen fly with some fans. Also could save some pollen to cross with any other plant you grow. Backcrossing is fun but crossing two different strains is real fun, get that hybrid vigor and 10,000 different phenos. Plus with your pollen its, feminized seeds. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Figured I'd update.
I ended up just flicking/rubbing the sacs n pollen off the plant over a tin sheet. Did this the times 1-2 weeks apart. I harvest 3 bags all with about the same amount of Pollen as pictured

Dried the reversed plant for a week and broke up all the buds. Harvested these seeds. Quite a few light colored and just white seeds. But 7-8 good looking seeds. I know now I can let plants go a bit longer to have mature seeds20230620_210415.jpg

Took a q tip and tried to pollinate a couple buds on both my gorilla and PurpleHaze plants I had 3 weeks in flower. I was very worried about pollen going everywhere and ruining my whole crop. Obviously I didn't pollinate enough haha. Only have found one seed in the gorilla. But it's a nice looking seed. So hopefully my first cross is a good one. PurpleHaze and gorilla are drying now. So will closely inspect marked buds for more seeds while trimming20230615_184157.jpg

Also dont forget to dry your seeds before putting them in a bag. Not sure if you did or not.
I did not. Are you pulling my leg? Or do you really dry seeds. I guess it makes since. Just room temperature air dry? 1 week? I Will have to look this up while I await a response

When I make seeds I let them dry in the bud first and then when the buds are dry I harvest the seeds from the buds and let them sit out to air dry another few days.. Some people harvest seeds from fresh bud so I just wanted to make sure they were dry, .

Reason being if you put them in a bag and they are too moist they will germinate and become non viable
