Revegging flowering clones ?

Clones not monsters , still on the nothing train.

Prove me wrong and I may cut my crop back leaving 16 nodes again once I’m done , revedge and bud again.

I don't care what those websites say. That's incorrect information.

The entire concept of monster cropping is to get a bunch of branching. If you cut off the buds you won't get the massive amount of branching that makes it monster cropping. You might get new growth where you cut the bud off but it won't be monster cropping. That grow weed easy site is full of incorrect information and new growers should avoid it.

Here's what happens when you monster crop. This isn't a clone but a reversed plant that is revegging but the concept is similar. Leave the buds, allow the plant to reveg, and it will start sending a whole bunch of branches from the bud itself. That won't happen if you cut off the bud. The buds can shoot out a large amount of new branching. This has just started to reveg but as you can see there are already 4-5 new growth tips emerging from the buds. If you cut the buds off that isn't going to happen and you are not monster cropping.

That information from those 2 websites is wrong. In fact some of it is laughable.

From Leafly:

"Re-vegging is hard to successfully pull off, even for seasoned growers." No it isn't. It's really easy. Just leave some growth, put back under vegetative lighting hours, and wait.

"Re-vegged plants are more delicate and must be given more attention and care." Revegged plants are no more delicate than other plants so I don't know where they came up with that nonsense.

The grow weed easy says to pinch off the buds but all of the pictures they show have the buds still intact as they should be with one photo showing the same type of growth I just posted pictures of.

These websites are not doing new growers any favors and are just perpetuating bad information and broscience.
Thank you for your post !

My intention was not to monster crop but, it may not be evident from my previous pictures but I did leave a number of smaller buds on the bottom of the plants.

Well if your intention was to just make a standard clone and not monster crop then you did what you intended. I just get put off by some of the bad information out there. The information on those websites is incorrect. They give instructions on making clones but those instructions are not monster cropping.

All that really matters is what you intended and the results you get.

Ah yes, bad information !

When I read something interesting/dodgy on what looks like a legit source I try to consider it for fifteen minutes without discarding it out of hand.

Then I either do more research, ask for help or move on

The fellow that I received these clones from is notoriously anal about research. But I still looked a little further....

On with the experiment !

As I was moving from the top down clipping off the buds it was getting harder to see to get a clean cut towards the middle.

Old eyes you know !

BTW > solid resinous stinky (in a good way) buds ! More resinous than my recent White Widow and Black Indica harvest..

If the purpose was to get some smokable product this was a good spot to quit.

Then I thought why not just lollipop the bottom.

Nah, leave them be and see what happens, he, he... None on the top, some on the bottom.

I doubt what remains would be a bowl full anyway, if that's what you're thinking :D

After +48 hours of continuous light all the leaves still appear healthy but with a slight downward droop.

They are under an 85w CFL bulb while I make some adjustments to my room. But they did spend this afternoon under full sunlight and seemed to enjoy it..

This strain is apparently 6 % THC and 20 % CBD and is no longer listed for sale on CropKings website.

I'm hoping for good pain relief from some minor ailments and still be able to do whatever, eh ?

One healthy plant will do, I just received my order from True North Seeds and will be doing a full Sativa grow !

Cheers.

If you can grow some medicine that will help alleviate any pain you may be experiencing then it doesn't matter if it's a monster crop or a plain clone. You just need some more plants.

I hope they all develop roots and you get some more plants to grow. Good luck with you're growing. :weed:

Time to wrap up this stage of the experiment.

Three days of 24 hours light under a 85w CFL bulb and then switched to 18/6.

At ten days I noticed new growth on the bottoms where the buds were left. The only top growth so far is on the top where I pinched off a bud and left about 1/3 of it.

This is @ 3 weeks.

And the one new growth on the top five days ago...

And at 29 days..

BTW > watering with Mega Crop, used the recommended amount for seedlings/veg. Weighed it and cut it in half. Can't remember the weight now but it worked out to three quarters of a 1/4 teaspoon measuring cup for 2.5 L.

My well water is 500ppm, the mix is 620ppm, 50 drops of ph down brings it to 6.0
