Hi everyone,
Ive just finished doing an open pollination with a male blueberry from dj short and would like to keep it to backcross females of the crosses i made. I did the crosses inside over winter and its now going into outdoor season here. Ive cut back the male and collected the remaining pollen and wondering if you guys would see any problems arising from me putting the male outside to reveg? Is this likely to get him going again so i can do the backcross outside?
Ive read on another forum that if the male shows no hermie traits during the reveg that he is a strong male, is this correct?
