Reuse of soil

So I have two plants that died young, and 2 plants doing well. I'm wander can I mix the two soils in order to balance it. I grow autoflowers, and use fox farm ocean soil. I'm thinking mixing the nutrient rich soil, with the soil lacking nutrients. Does that seem good?

if there is nothing in the soil that caused the plants to die, seems like an economical plan to me.

Root rot. I figured just dry out the soil?
