Returning after small hiatus…

Hello everyone, hope all is well

I’ve been on RIU in the past, since 2012. Forgot my old sign in so along with a new grow room, a new name. I jumped on LED lights early, and never looked back. My last room was set up with all Timber grow lights. Which performed very well (last models I had were from around 2018). Well I sold my equipment around 2020 and am just getting back to it. To my surprise it seems they have gone out of business.
I was hoping you guys could just kinda fill me in quickly on the top 3-5 USA brands that you guys may be running. I tried just doing the scroll thing but it’s getting a bit overwhelming, and that ADD seems to be getting worse. If you have any links or experience that you could pass along I’d really appreciate it, or even another RIU thread.
I thank everyone in advance and I really appreciate it.

thanks!

Sad to see another light company go under. First Electric Sky / Blue Sunshine and now Timber? Guess its getting tougher and tougher to compete with the China made stuff out there.

No, no those are all companies that went under this year. As in, they are no longer in business.

Really bad year for led growlight companies.

Wow that’s actually almost jaw dropping. Very unfortunate. I guess most (new) growers rather buy a cheaper priced item, and that’s Chinese made. Seems like this is gonna be harder than I thought

There are still plenty of great lights. HLG's new reflector series is honestly the first time I've been excited about their pre-built luminaires. Pricier, but super nice lights.

Medicgrow has some awesome lights for reasonable prices (on sale plus discount codes can get you a 750 watt light for less than $400!

Lots of people happy with growers choice. Cocoforcannabis has reviews of tons of lights, many lesser known manufacturers. Mogobe has some cool 300 watt lights (the octopus) that I recently saw on sale from $170.

Still Lots to choose from.

Good Morning,

My name is Dan and I am with Highgrove Lighting, formerly Timber Grow Lights. We have reformed as a new company in order to differentiate from the original Timber business model of custom built lighting.

Due to the challenges of the supply chains over the past three years, we have reformulated our lineup to include board based lights for 2x4 to 5x5 areas. These lights are now waterproof with sealed electrical connections and conformal coating on the LEDs, and include both UV and far red spectra in addition to LM301H 3500K and 660 nM red diodes.

Our entire lineup is in stock for immediate shipping, eliminating the frustrating lead times. We are the same group of people, same level of customer service and happy to answer any questions you may have.

Have a good day.

Regards,
Dan

Oh, thank God! It was getting a little surreal, what with all the long time, well regarded lighting companies that have succumbed to market pressures.

Glad to hear you are still in the game, Dan!
