4 ILGM Superskunk (fem) from seed. Advertised 52-day flowering plant, harvested 1/day on day 53-56 of flower (88 days total)

In 2 gallon pots Grown under 2 HLG-135v2 quantum boards
Fox Farms Happy Frog soil
Selective pruning but no training method.
Tested 4 different nutrient systems trying to decide on one for the future - didn't ;)

Photo is last good one before stuff went sideways  Chopped as soon as it was about 5% amber because it was going south quick (gnats I found out later)

I wanted about 2 zips per plant (2 gallon pots - 2oz - it's a thing... leave me alone) and even considering various issues I ended up with over 7 of good smoke.

I had an easy time this run. I ran four plants from seed.

This is the one I kept, it smells and tastes like medium roast coffee. Smelled like coffee in veg too. Not too stretchy, ended up about 24”.

I don’t know how much I yielded yet but I’ve trimmed (dry) and jarred about one and a half pounds from my 4x4 so far. Killing gpw with this run....very pleased. I’ve got an entire plant left to trim, minus the two branches that were dry enough already, and it is the largest yielder.

Been thinking about the gram per watt comp.
How will a person be rated on GPW if they adjust the output of their LED during the grow?
What if they say they will be running at 70% the entire grow?
If I entered with my little 135W 288 v2 and grew plants with an impressive yield in a 2x2 and beat everyone else. Would it be a victory shadowed in doubt that I possibly used additional lighting?
Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. Those conversations are likely to arise at some point.

I grew 4 plants under 2 135v2's. But for most of the grow they were primarily under one of them. So I could argue that I got 7.25oz (200g) from a 135. Even considering one-and-a-half lights I got a gram per watt. But why?

If a contest is judged by weight - and not in person with a neutral judge - there would be questions about how dry it was, the scales veracity, the presence of foreign "heavy" objects, etc. Much better this way.

Much better this way.[/QUOTE]

Do you mean much better the way ours was? I'd agree much better the way ours was.
It's a good time to discuss these things before it starts.
I'm not planning on playing in any comps till later in the year or maybe start back in comps with Dawg's comp.
If it was in person we could smoke out and have taste tests and whatnot :)
Then I would crush you guys.
My topicals are beyond compare.
My edible oil is a 5 hour cruise with a smile.
Sativa hybrids aren't for everyone though. Some people will have a smile on their face for hours enjoying things that they forgot existed. Some will have smoked to much not realizing that 3 hits will take them on a roller coaster ride that will scare them into never smoking again. Some prefer the more relaxing indica buzz.

Anyway I still have to consider all the mistakes I made and adjust in the future.
I usually make dozens of mistakes every grow.
In comps I always try to push plants to the max with the light to soon.
To many mistakes to list. Vegged to long, didn't transplant from 1 gallon to 5 gallons soon enough, kept the lights to close. overfertilized, didn't attempt to increase humidity when it averaged in the low 40's, the list goes on and on.
I wonder what each persons greatest mistake was?
I wonder who made no mistakes?

Wow! Lots in there.
Yes, this comp could have been better, but data can be fudged. Doing that on line is silly unless it's a group of people you know. I think it may have turned into a popularity contest, but that will happen.

I play with my decarb machine, and I have both edible oil and Everclear tincture. Both are pretty stout, but it is Indica. I have a sativa dominant in flower. Bruce Banner is supposed to be 80/20 Sativa but it looks like the rest trait wise, not stretchy. It is flowering longer though. I'll definitely be trying it in a few different methods. I think next time I buy seeds it will be a high CBD strain. My N.L. is Indica dominant but high in both thc and cbd. It's definitely a different buzz.

My biggest mistake (and I think a lot of people's) was not just growing how they usually did. For me it was 4 plants at once in small pots. If I had grown 2 in larger pots (with one nutrient system) I think I would have had better results. What I did right was getting beat up plants to show ambers before chopping them.

You can use whatever light you want. It's gpw, so the more watts you use, the more bud you better pull.
I'm not running it. I'm just going to participate in this one. If people cheat, they cheat. They had better be pretty good though, some good growers in there that won't hesitate to throw a BS flag if someone is cheating.
