Residual smell in bongs

I use rubbing alcohol and salt, with a rinse of hot water. But I cant ever get all the smell out. Ive tried everything from jetdry to dish washing detergent. Do yall have any suggestions

the 420 cleaning solution. Kills all the smell, and cleans it sooo easily

I use "Goo-Gone", a citrus oil cleaner that removes all kinds of stuff. You can get it everywhere like walmart, grocery stores etc. If the slides or bowls are really caked with resin, i soak it in goo-gone for an hour then wipe clean. You can also soak the bong if hot water and soap dosn't work. Just cover the holes and fill with goo-gone, let soak for awhile then rinse and wipe clean. I have learned over the years to rinse my bong daily to avoid a huge clean up job. And I only use glass ones now so they rinse out nice with just warm water.

lots and lots of water. But I still have a left over smell. Goes away usally with a new bowl. But that first bowl will taste funny

A friend of mine decided to clean out his chaos bong with some hot water. He poured it out and then immediately put in cold water and some ice cubes. It shattered.

Thought I would share that and hopefully it would prevent more bong deaths to whoever reads this, cause knowing is half the battle fellas.
