Rerigging my purge setup questions

Is a 3 cfm two stage pump enough to get the job done when it comes to purging bho? It supposedly get down to 25 micron.


What kind of chamber do you all recommend that doesn't break the bank but its cheap either?

what other items will I need to get to be ready to purge?

Yes, a 3 cfm two stage vacuum pump is adequate for most of what most of us are doing. I prefer a larger single stage pump, only because they are faster and cheaper.

There is no need to purge below about 29.5" Hg, and indeed at 25 microns, you can cold boil away the THC at room temperature.

Thank you fadedawg for replying. I know this may make me sound dumb but I don't understand the chart. Can you please explain it to me in lame man terms that way I can get a better grasp of what exactly I'm looking at?

If you go to the column marked "Inches Mercury Gauge", and scroll down to -29.53" Hg, you will note in the far right hand column, that the "boiling point delta 9 THC" is shown as 76C/168.8F.

If you go to the column marked "Inches Mercury Gauge", and scroll down to -29.916" Hg, you will note in the far right hand column, that the "boiling point delta 9 THC" is now shown as 17C/62.6F, or below ambient room temperatures.

Going to the third column over, labeled "Microns", if you scroll down to 10 microns (-29.9196" Hg), you will note that THC boils at -5C/23F, or below the freezing temperature of water.
