OOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo kay. FYI - if you damage the root ball to any degree, you're probably doing more harm than good. You'd be better off feeding the flowers in the old pots since the plant isn't going to grow in overall size much one it's begun flowering.

If they are coming out why not just put some dirt in another pot and put that pot on that new dirt and cover the roots and let them go. A lot less chance of screwing anything up with a transplant in flower I would think

Exactly or even a bin to catch overflow will work

If we saw a picture of the plant we could probably tell if it was root bound or not.
Roots coming out of the drain hole tells me you likely water to run off and the roots ran to the bottom of the pot quickly not that it's root bound.
Did you do it yet?
If you did what did the rest of the soil look like.
If you didn't a picture would help.

Also. Transplanting 2 weeks into flowering can cause stress and when I have done it in the past I found very little expansion of the root zone during the flowering stage.

You just keep asking the same question , in the end they will finish either way and yes your leaves will continue to yellow ...grow show or not
