$1491 for two F8s to my door by sea was the quote I got a couple of hours ago.
Replacing 2 1000w HID lights with LED. Thoughts?

Dammit now you gone and done it! Seeing those healthy happy green ladies under that light is pushing me to pull the trigger. I don't think I see a single unhappy leaf in the whole canopy. Proof is in the pudding right?

I think you're on the money there. I saw a guy post a review for a light who lived in Spain. He paid for express shipping, but when you live in Spain the term "express shipping" has a whole new meaning. Dude said once it arrived in port and traveled by rail to the countryside where he lived it took something like a month. Those are some brutal logistics there in Spain, and it probably cost him a pretty penny too. Happy to live in the US where logistics are cheap. But Spain has had legal pot forever, right? And not only is the country beautiful the girls are some of the sexiest in the world. As long as they wax that upper lip anyways. I guess I'd be willing to pay more for logistics and wait for longer shipping times if those perks of life were on the table

If you were to ask me the same question 5 years ago I would have told you not to waste your money and just get the mini split. LED technology has come quite far in the past 5 years or so. So today I would say purchase the leds and they will pay for themselves after just one harvest... I switched out my hoods for spider farmers sf 4000s and there super bright and penetrating.

Do you find that you're achieving the same yields since switching to LED? Props on the SF units. I own a SF-4000. Love it. Insanely bright and the piggy back connectors make daisy chain connectivity a breeze.

2 of them ~$1500 shipping included. Thrilled with the performance. Better yields than my 1kw DE HPS and I run them at ~650w. Had a little hiccup with temps being too low at first. Another nice thing compared to HPS is the light isn't so harsh on the eyes and it's easier to spot issues in the grow because the light looks more white/natural. Easier to clean than hoods. BK's grow journal is what convinced me to give these a shot. I'd bet they're the same as the Meijui. They compare favorably to the Gavita 1700 at ~1/2 the price.
