PH Meter: Don't leave home without it.

I had to leave town for a few days and I had to do so without checking my PH. I had broken mine the week before and the replacement hadn't arrived yet.

Anyway, when got back, the plant looked much worse (see pics below).

I've corrected the PH (had dropped ~3.3 :(), backed off the light a bit, and cut the nutes back by 2/3.

Anyway, I'm wondering what's the best plan going forward for the health of the plant. Regarding the 2 badly burned leaves:
- What? (Trim leaves, cut off at stem, ignore, etc)
- When?

This was my best looking pheno in the bunch before it was ravaged, so I'm hoping it can make a strong recovery.

Other Details:
Humidity: 24-29% RH
Temperature: 75-80 degrees under lights
Temperature: 63-68 ambient/night temperature
PH: 5.6
Aeroponic buckets, 1/5 timer
400w MH/HPS

See grow log in sig for additional details. Thanks.

Light is not the problem it's your food. Remember this is a baby you don't feed them pizza and pop. Go very slow on the food.

OK Flush the plant out with ph water till lots runs out the bottom, than go to a 10% of your recommended food for the next 2 weeks or till you get two more sets of leaves. Forget about the burnt leaves they will fall off soon enough. Let them. After two weeks of 4 leaves you can go to 30% recommended food. Keep an eye on them to make sure you don't burn again.

Peace

woods is correct you don't need those bottom leaves just take care of the problem, I usually dont even bother messing with dying leaves they will fall off eventually.

Everyone has their own way of dealing with dying foliage. I usually give it a gentle pull and if it comes off............I guess it was about to fall off anyway.

Yeah, leave the dead leaves alone. They will fall off naturally in time.

You need to flush these girls with plain water for a day. Make sure to pH it so that the plants will be use to getting water with nutes in them at the same pH level. After you flush, give them nutes, but try 1/4 strength for now. as they grow, move to half strength, and then full strength. Baby steps with the nutes buddy. What I see here is nute burn, I think...Though at such a low pH you should have been having nute lockout. Anyways, my suggestion is just like a couple others.

A quick flush with pH'd water.
Add nutes, but at a low strength.
Wait and see what happens over the next few day..

Good luck to you.

The guy at the nursery was wrong about the 24 causing the burnt leaves. I have grown seeds and clones for years under 24 and never had a problem. You need to check your information at least 3 times before saying ya must be true. The guy at the nursery means well. I am not saying he does not know what he is talking about most or the time but on this one he is wrong. Happens.

Everyone has an opinion that's why there free, even if they mean well.

Peace
