Removing cotyledons?

Hi guys.

I gave my seedlings way too much sunlight and they got really stunted. I have been giving them only 2 hours of direct sunlight a day for the last 6 days and the rest of the time I nurse them indoors under one 15w cool daylight cfl. They seem to have responded now with some new growth but the cotyledons look like hell. Misformed and light yellow. The seedlings is now just over 2weeks old. Should I remove the cotyledons so the seedlings can concentrate on new growth or are there any other suggestions? I am planning to increase the sunlight exposure from next week as only 1 cfl is not ideal for the 3 plants and the leaves are'nt growing straight because of it I suppose.

why do you nurse seedlings indoors under those lights? I started 30 last week in full sun.....and Im in the tropics; sun doesnt stunt them....

Im in south africa and the first 9 days it was over 90 everyday and they got 11hours direct sunlight and this seemed to stunt them in their tracks.

Just need to make sure the soil doesnt dry out to a crisp and they shouldnt stunt in that.....I get that amount of sun daily all year....same with heat...

I water them every 2-3 days. As you can see they are really small for being 16days old. Everybody said they were heat stressed so I reduced the sunlight and nursed them the last 6days. They are in normal seedling soil and I dont use any nutes. Can you tell anything from the pics as to what is stunting the growth then?

Seedlings are not going to grow 6 inches in the 1st week....They are slow starting....all are. Every 2-3 days is not enough for them. I mist mine few times a day when that young. Keep them damp.

They are heat stressed cos 2-3 days a water is no good in that heat..i live in desert conditions and the most vital part of my grow is seedlings need to be nursed all the way thru...i mist the soil they are in till they can take a cup of water..then a bucket..then the hose ;)

They are starting to look better as the day goes on. Finally!!! Hopefully they are big enough in 2 weeks time to transplant and start with nutes....
