REMO CHEMO

You're running your lights at night, and off during day? I was reading about sorbic acid (or potassium sorbate), and thought of your plant disease, septoria. Pesticideinfo.org says potassium sorbate is classified as a fungicide, while California included it in our "can use" list. I haven't read much about it in relation to plant diseases, it's a common food preservative, there's a bit of food science available on its use.

Another approach to consider would be a phosphite of some variety.
Thanks for the input! Septoria season is long over. I fight it with baking soda, copper fungicide, neem and sulfur burning. Proper control would be an adequate dehumidifier, but I don't currently have the extra 600w electricity available.

Wow after all this time Im about to harvest the little plant on the right (I snitched a bud to try, I haven't harvested her yet), I'm thinking Wednesday but I'll have to check her first..

Because she hit the ffof hotspot as a seedling she's never recovered from the hooked leaves. I took clones and they are also hooked so at this point it's genetic I guess, so I just kept one clone in case the smoke is notable

Here is the bigger Remo plant #1 last week getting ready for her flower run..

.. more Remo talk to come, most likely

 ..can't judge by a little bud snatched from the bottom and dried on a vent but I think I'm going to have good things to say about Remo Chemo..!

For sure it's the rocket ride right away (and I mean before you breathe it out!) but I can't judge by a little bottom bud, but can already say I'm glad I kept a cut, kind of wishing I kept her other clones too! :wall:

Going to flower the Remo #1 in the picture above, I don't have any pictures of Remo #2 because she's so fugly! All curled sativa looking leaves, I'll put her clone in a picture at some point, she doesn't look quite as bad, still tweeked looking though :/

Do you do an ipm?
Lanky stretchy all true but she is pretty potent. Flowers are pretty dense so she yielded ok but I’d veg her longer and top early and often.
You weren't kidding, this is a potent smoke! ..and this is just the stunted wacky plant too, I'm wondering why more people aren't talking about this strain?

More Remo talk.. (w/pics)

Tons of amber on Remo #2, I let her go extra long because she's giving me some seeds on lower branches, I'll put up more specific numbers after harvest

Being stunted as a Seedling she kept that same Leaf curl, and as you'll see her clones have it too

She barely tolerates any nutes, whereas Remo#1 could potentially be as heavy a feeder as I've seem

she's the most interesting plant I've grown and really interesting when she passed this curly characteristic to her clones. Being stunted seem to have changed it genetically in some way (*the picture of Remo #2 clone is from two weeks ago, all others are current)

.. this is Remo #1, soon to be heavily cloned, might be hard to tell from the picture but she's about 4 ft tall (notice the difference in structure)20181228_072640.jpg

This has nothing to do with Remo chemo or this journal but I have nowhere else to put it and it's got to come out right now so here it is:

Note to self:

STOP starting seedlings in ffof!!!:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

Hey nice journal, enjoyed following along.

I have a pack of remo chemo on the way, also got headband and a few others.

I have only germinated and sprouted 7 seeds so far, but all were started in ffof.

Are you sure that's what caused the issues with your remo? Wondering for when I grow them, maybe that strain don't like the hotter soil?

So far I've sprouted fruit punch, atomic and space cookies, all seedlings seem to love the ffof.

Dude forget about my ffof rant above, that was just something I had to do forget about it, ffof is fine for seeds and seedlings.

I've just started my fourth year growing in soil and I've only had three plants including the little Remo above have trouble in ffof, personally I'm going to pick up a bag of something else like the Happy Frog or something to cut the ffof with so the roots can get started a little bit, but I've started many seeds in the three years I've been in soil in ffof and I've only had 2 affected, and now I've got a third affected now that I just flushed but it looks like I got it early, so that's one a year for average having trouble in ffof, I'll take that risk

About the Remo, hard to judge by this wacky plant above, and the other one isn't in flower yet but this smoke is powerful, I was not kidding above you're going to like the remo but you got to get after her and keep topping her because she wants to be a tall skinny lanky thing and as you see above they can become bushy but that plants closing in on a year old too, so.. she's been around so long I named her, I call her Jimmy

if I can answer any remo questions just ask, not sure I'll have too many more answers than what I've posted above but you never know, good luck

Edit: Already looks like the seedling I flushed is doing much better overnite, but it probably wouldn't hurt to keep a bag of milder potting soil around to at least let them start putting thicker roots out before they hit the ffof

How long do you wait to start feeding your plants? I’m in half ffof and happy frog with 33% perlite

I'll get some pictures before I forget but I don't know what to say about the smoke from Remo chemo (plant #2) because it's a crazy plant, its not a normal plant because if you read this thread it hit a hotspot in ffof as a Seedling and barely made it, it and all its clones have the weird curly leaf trait, it will take no nutes, literally no nutes..

..and it is the strongest smoke that I've grown in the three years that I've been back in growing! (and I've been sampling quite a few different strains)

Either I hit the lottery with this plant or I don't know what's up with it but I wanted to write in this Journal today because I just got a cut from Remo chemo plant number one rooted, and whereas number two Roots like crazy number one was a real challenge

Remo chemo plant number one and number two are nothing alike, since number two hit that hot spot as a Seedling. The Remo number one is a heavy feeder, number to will take nothing

Been sick for a few days so I've just been hitting an occasional Hash Pipe, but I just rolled up a joint of remo chemo number two and I'm blasted to the point that I came in here and wrote this. Absolute couchlock, it's wonderful smoke! Its fluffy, it was a seed crop, it's everything wrong.. but it's Killa!

P.s, it gave me about two and a half jars, so probably around 2 oz yield, keeping all of this bud

I think the next run after the space cookies will be this remo chemo

Keep seeing/reading good smoke and grow reports on this one.

Nice job BW
Hey thanks! I think you'll like it, I'm surprised a lot more people aren't talking about this strain? This shit hits fast and like a truck, relatively speaking. I let this plant go pretty Amber because I made seeds on some of the lower buds, and I'm going to let the next Remo go just as long because I want more smoke just like this!

RC#1 is going into flower soon, I've got cuts from her in a tray now & as soon as I see a root she's going in, she's huge and big around too!

Ya i know what you mean, i researched all of the strains i ordered pretty good, there wasnt a ton of talk about this remo chemo, but what i did find, anyone who grew/smoked it, all loved it.

Yeah only one other RC thread on all of Riu and very little on the whole internet about it but like you said all positive! Maybe we should keep this to ourselves? lol!

Well I'm going to finish the other half of this joint with coffee now, I legitimately had to put the damn joint out and I haven't moved in 45 minutes

I'll look up how long I let this plant go and I'll post it I think it was between 10 and 12 weeks, had probably 30% amber

If you want to post in this thread when you start to grow please do, good luck!

A Remo#1 clone finally rooted! Another strange thing, cuz with Remo#2 I've thrown clones away because all of the tray rooted, but #1 was a nightmare getting even one to root?!

20190125_171930.jpg

At least I can throw the monster mother plant into flower soon, maybe tonight, I'm trying to get a couple of gorilla glues to finish up and out of the tent but it's got to go in soon it's too freaking big already if I'm honest
