I'm sick of wasting money on shit PH meters. I need the name of a good PH meter, and don't say what u heard was a good one, say whAt has worked for u only. I'm done buying a new one every six months, I'm pissed, this is the 4th one I have bought and so far Iprefer the test strips. I will also take a good combo meter. How about Truncheon??? I'm leaning toward this stick looking one because of claimed durability? ANYone??

I have three dead meters on the shelf.

I finally got the milwaukee meters and they are holding up pretty well.
I did have to send the SM101 in for warranty,
but they fixed it and sent it back with a new probe.

I have a new PinPoint meter that I haven't tried yet.

Anyway, you ned a meter with a detachable probe,
so that is all you will need to replace.

Probes are only good for about 18 months,
or a couple of grows,
depending on your level of care.

PinPoint and Milwaukee both have .01 resolution.
Most meter are .1
so take that into consideration.

I got mine on ebay for about $90

Pen meters are not going to cut it.

I have also used Milwaukee for a long time. I have 3 other meters that tell me 3 bogus readings. Milwaukee outlasts all of my meters and I have only had 1 break on me after 3-4 grows. Waterproof=crucial.

I saw what a waterproof Milwaukee costs and I can't afford that. I can afford like $100 so the SM101 looks like a buy now. I just wanted to know if I should get the Milwaukee Combo TDS/PH Meter, or just buy them seperate.

buy them separate. Also i meant waterproof for the pens. You will be getting the cheaper (But nice) probe kits from ebay.
