Regulars again

Hi
Been a long time since I grew regulars as a kid, havin another go, but asking dyu reckon I could start about 5 in single cups n keep there long enough to determine sex before potting up? That’s one in each cup of course.

just trying to save wasting space and potting materials

thanks

Would be a bit tough in an 8 oz solo-cup, but likely possible. Another issue is the plant size and shape will be a bit less ideal keeping them in such small pot sizes. I’ve found that if I make the right choices at the right time, around 2-3 liters or maybe .6 gallon pots are the best choice to sex regulars. I start in 8 oz, then pot up to the .6 gallon pots and they stay in those until I sex them.

You’re not gonna be sexing those plants in solo cups. Start in solo cups then transplant into 3 gal pots under the biggest light u have 18 hrs a day. Between day 25-45 they should show sex on their own. Kill the males and put females in larger pots to veg a little longer. Just my .02

Yeah sounds like the plan
I have heaps felt pots n 400 n 600w hps
I’ll go 3 gal then

if growing autos I normally don’t transplant n go straight into 7gal

But that’s bit big until in know sex

thanks

Test them while they're young. I sent this in when the seedling was 10 days old & had results within a week. Only had to grow this for 17 days before finding out it was male & chucking it.

It's hard to sex in solocups, I'm doing it now and its not been an easy road. That being said, 3 of 6 have shown sex. Plants have been topped once and a our 8ish inches tall.

sexing in solo's is easy, sometimes it can be a challenge.....personally i like the baby plant container from a local nursery, and use those....then pot up to a 1 gal...and go from there
