Reflective material a must?

Thanks!

I build that white system that the plants sit on. Though the rebar at the top is level, the white PVC below is on a slant that helps the water flow to the bottom corner...which drains out of that hose and directly into my floor drain.

No liner required.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures. this hit me like a bat in the head and I finally know how to make my final drainage system. Your room is getting beautiful BTW

edit: I may have missed this, but are you going to put pond liner in there or somethign? I would guess not. but I'm curious what is your approach to treating this construction for water resistance.

Hello all!

I am going to ditch my 4*4 tent and instead build a larger area for growing. I now have a license to legally grow 25 plants, so I'd like to utilize more space.

Do I really need to wrap my walls and ceiling with a reflective material? If so, could I get away with using the foil bubble wrap material that's used for insulating hot water tanks? I've looking online for a thicker reflective material, similar to the material used to make the grow tents, but can't find it. All I can find is thin Mylar, which I don't want.

Thoughts?

If it matters, I am growing with Timber COB led lights.

Thanks for your opinions.
Flat WHITE reflects 90%, more than any reflective materials, I always use panda film, plastics have come a very long way from years ago That's flat white/M.G.T.

I realized that I didn't finish the drainage... So now I'm done. I've decided to change the room's door. I've been using the material and just hooking the top corner to a nail (thru a grommet). But, I've decided to go with a solid material door instead. Haven't decided on the material yet .IMG_20190829_204554.jpg

You're room looks great! I just ordered two of those lights myself.
Only thing...
That open drain could POTENTIALLY be a breeding ground for nasties.
Maybe a little 99% spray into and around drain to combat this?
Just my two cents...Happy growing.

I am a noob, but my research says , research says that the silver reflective material absorbs light as it has to draw a reflection sort of thing, thus wasting some of the light. White is the new silver
Hydroponics BLACK WHITE Mylar Reflective Sheeting Film Roll is good
