Redose Question

My cat recently procured 4-aco-dmt and wants to try it. He first wants to just to a little to verify it truly is 4-aco-dmt and to see how strong he responds to it. If my cat were to dose today(maybe half a normal dose) will he still be able to trip this weekend without having to take crazy amounts? Also if anyone can give me a standard dose of freebase 4-aco-dmt because most every dose I see on the internet is for the furmate salt

Do like 1mg at first for an allergy test. After ~24hrs try a half dose (10-15mg probably, I'm going on psilocyn/cybin doses here, they are all bioequivalent, or should be). Then you should wait a month or more to really dose. At least a week anyway.
Do you have much experience with mushies?

So I took 1mg and the next day I took 15mg then another 10mg about an hour later. Holy shit I can not recommend this stuff enough, best trip I have ever had by FAR. Compared to my experience with other psychedelics (shrooms and lsd) I would say it is closest to shrooms(not surprising as it is a tryptamine), but it is definitely different. For about an hour during the peak I was hit by wave after wave of the most intense euphoria I have ever experienced along with the craziest visuals I have ever seen. I also did alot of self-assessment and got some personal things taken care of. I must of taken a pretty large dose but I experienced no anxiety or any negative side effects. Wow is all I can say, I am truly impressed with this substance.

Thanks man. I would also like to mention two hits of bud when I felt like I was starting to come down sent me to HYPERSPACE. The room dissolved into a series of vivid hallucinations.

LSD is also a tryptamine. It's close to shrooms because it is shrooms. It's the acetyl ester of psilocyn, psilocybin is the phosphoric ester. In the body the esters are hydrolyzed to form psilocyn. Both esters cross the blood brain barrier faster than psilocyn. 4-AcO should cross faster than psilocybin.
25mg is a good dose for the 4-OR DMTs (R= H or Ac or phosphate). Things don't start getting out of hand until you get to around 40mg. Even then an experienced user should be able to handle it just fine.

I was under the impression that LSD had a structure similar to both phenethylamines and trpytamines, but I could be wrong. I will probably go for about 30mg next time.

LSD is a tryptamine. Yes the amine also is connected to the phenyl ring by an ethyl group, but it's not that simple. It's not a phenyl group, it's the phenyl part of an indole, which is a totally different thing than either of it's substituent rings.

Thanks for the info MrEDuck. I find psychedelics to be by far the most interesting drugs. I take a 2g daily dose of piracetam and after looking at some trip reports I think this may have influenced the strength of my trip.

You're very welcome. Personally I'm fascinated by protein based biological drugs that have been coming out over the past fifteen or so years. They're used to treat many very nasty illnesses like MS, many autoimmune disorders, and some other nasty conditions, many of which lacked effective treatments before the biologics. They also scare the shit out of me because I'm a small molecule guy and biologic research is getting more and more money. A few years back I read an interview with the CEO of DuPont about biopolymers for making fabrics where he said something along the lines of the bio PhD was the new chem PhD. Looks like their new slogan is going to be better living through biology.
