As title says, im new to this and i plan to grow 1 or 2 plants in a small space.

I looked on ebay because i am told i need a 125w cfl bulb a 54000k for growing and then a 27000k one for flowering,

there are red blue and clear bulbs, will they all be the same ? or is it better to get red or clear or what ever i don't know that's why i am asking lol

thank you :)

The size and style of light will depend on your space and your preferences. 6500K is a bluer spectrum and mimics the early summer light and is for veg. The 2700K is yellow/orange color and mimics the late autumn light and is good for flowering.

yes more redlight for flower more blue light for vegging. I like the daylight cfls at your local hardware store they are 6500 and very cheap. I don't know how much that 125 cfl cost but it might be cheaper to buy many smaller cfls than one large one. Cfls work good especially for vegging but ideally you want a HPS for flowering although you could use MH as well.

thats about right for a 125........try greens horticulture for growing kit.they are pretty quick and good prices.

i had a look there ok but im a cheapo so gana use ebay.

im going to buy female northern light seeds of pick n mix seeds should i get one or two ?

here is the draw i am going to grow them in, i have gutted out the draw so it looks like a draw from the outside but the faces go back on.

its 1.6 feet tall and 1.2 feet wide and long

if someones got a tape measure can you measure can you tell me how many plants i can fit in there please.

this is my first grow so i need all the advice i can get. will the leaves hit the side and cause it to not grow buds if i use 2 seeds ?

o and btw i plan on having my light vertical with a home made metal plate above it so i will save height inside the draw.

Thanks :)

I built this for a friend a while back. 12 26watt cfls. This cab can produce over 5 oz dry. Its total cost was $240 usd + the cab. $80 dollars was for the nu-tone fan which is a premo quite bath fan.

If you're talking about the CFLs that are colored red or colored blue, like novelty or party bulbs, that's a mistake. They cut off the light except for a narrow wavelength band and *really* reduce the amount of light going to the plant. The light may be near the correct wavelength, but you're literally reducing the amount of energy going to the plant by 90%.

The only CFLs you should be looking at are the ones with the clear glass.
