Red Cellophane

I'm thinking of coating my grow walls with red cellophane. Does it really work?
Trying to boost my 100W CFL Veg Grow.

At fisrt I`ve thought that it just doesn't works too.

... but if you line all your walls with RED cellophane/selofan, RED, no other color, then you can grow good plants as if it were almost the same power in HPS or MH. The Red cellophane reflection places the light spectrum into what is needed for decent photosynthesis and cannabinoid activation.

Yeah, that sounds dumb.

No.

The logic I found on this is the same as we use to induce vegging or flowering; maybe 10W of blue light is better than 10W of red light, when inducing vegging. And, even cellophane absorbs the other colors, it also 'reflects' some light spectrums in the red spectrum.

hey since it sounds so dumb why dont you give the kid a not so dumb response it stead of your extremely insightful response bc i know you new all the ins and out of this process and never had a stupid question

to the post dont use the red cellophane refelect it normally and let the plants pic what spectrum to use

Because its a fucking retarded question. Either go post in the noob forum or take a science class.

I don't know it all, but I have common sense.

Your probably thinking of the Emerson effect.
Also known as ‘The Mars Effect, and that can not be done with cheap plastic.
You need deep red light (650nm—670nm) and maybe far red light (700-720nm) .
Not far red cellophane and deep red cellophane.

The picture is purposely degraded quite a bit, the man/female who may or may not be me is hot.

To add to Roscko 'post . I read you can try manipulating the plants Photoperiodism. By adding Nighttime Reptile Heat Bulbs. This possibly could work better than using colored plastic. These emit light in the 700+nm range. With the Phytochrome pigment being sensitive to this. You might be able to run the lights longer and still trigger flowering.

Thanks to Roscko and docter, for the replies.
I'm convinced not to use the cellophane now, also I'll be doing some research on the 'Mars Effect'. Your response brought some 'intelligence' to this topic. I think that with this reply, this topic isn't so useless.

And sensimilla86, thank's to you too. I'm mature enough to know that the responses from jijiandfarmgang, are just a desperate attempt to get attention. Like a child, if you do her 'game' she will get used to get attention in this way. Just let her parents do this job.

Meanwhile, I'm smoking and laughing of the hater's responses. You guys, just need a little of weed :D

ya usually im not one to bite at that shit but there are days on this site where i feel if theres not anything worth while to say then shut the fuck up (as i was just taking part in) but no ones gonna learn shit about this process if you cant ask questions but ya man i didnt mean to slop up your thread with the way to common bickering about nothing you often c around here anyways

i do think that the emerson effect is something that if you can achieve being i dont know how expensive it wold be to get the correct spectrum required to truly achieve then great i think it would be a great controll to do though good luck wit your search on info
