I've heard nothing but shadiness and gray area when dealing with firearms AND a red card. So I sent the woman and chose not to get mine. I know plenty of people that own guns and
have a red card I just wasnt willing to chance it. Now that the MMED list got released I'm pretty happy with this decision. Maybe i'm just being paranoid....

Im with you Sah Tiva. I don't want to chance it. I enjoy waterfowl with my son. So I don't know what to do. I thought of have the wife go since she doesn't smoke at all. Not sure how her employers would feel. I need medical grade for my Neck and Back I Broke in a accident 3 years ago. Fusion surgeries didn't work actually im worse off now. Im just curious as to when Jan 1 comes around what info are they going to want. If just a id to verify age no problem but what if they make copies are they going to start up a recreational use document and send where ever? Purples and grapes are the only thing that help my pain, fibromyalgia and headaches. Im need to get it somewhere.

Hi Dride. It is likely that the reason you are getting relief from the purple mmj strains is due to their CBD content. At least my observations has most CBD strains tinted purple.... not saying all purple strains have high CBD, just sayin.... Anyway, the CBD may help some with your anxiety also, just kidding bro :-) Everything I've seen says all you have to show is a valid id for recreational. If they go to swipe it, then you might want to get concerned - not supposed to be any lists though.... damn that sounds naive

@Sahtiva, nice one sending the old lady - you da man. I'm going to re-up my card.

The government is supposed to fear us.
I have a red card and own a gun. I will be getting my conceal carry permit too.
Fuck them.

it may become a leverage point to try and take em as things get worse. the NSA has had full access to those records from day 1, but it's irrelevant because of the massive databases on all of our records/browsing habits/buying habits and patterns/etc that a few companies have been collecting for years and using to target you with advertising. the government is also a customer of those companies for the massive databases of information, because it allows them to collect information of the type that (a) they might not be able to do on their own, and (b) might be illegal for them to perform themselves, but there is nothing against buying the information from a company that can legally do it. people need to wake the fuck up to what's been happening and actually help do something about it, like helping inform others and taking action by writing your local and state elected officials what is and is not acceptable and voting the cocksuckers out

Guns and herb = felony territory. You can own a gun and hunting liscense just can't have it at same location as grow. Just putting that out there. The whole guns and drugs thing in the eyes of the law.

There is nothing stating that I can't own my firearms and grow my weed. Both are protected by my constitutional rights. I've been on the registry for years and just got back from a successful big game hunt on the western slope.

If we live in KS or OK my answer would be different.

What can Colorado law enforcement do?
Nothing.

If the feds want to come and get me and my guns, they will come.

Fuck them.

I no longer fear my government, they should be very afraid of me and my friends.

sorry to say, but it's a fed issue. here is a decent write up, see #5 http://www.williamslawonline.com/Press-Room/Top-10-Things-Know-About-Federal-Gun-Law.shtml No guns for drug users. Federal law also says that any person "who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance" is barred from possessing guns. 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3). What does that mean? Good question. "[T]he exact reach of the statute is not easy to define," to say the least! United States v. Jackson, 280 F.3d 403, 406 (4th Cir.), cert. denied, 536 U.S. 911 (2002).The consensus seems to be that the statute does not apply to "infrequent" drug users or to those who used drugs in the "distant past." Instead, it is aimed at those whose drug use is "sufficiently consistent, 'prolonged,' and close in time to [their] gun possession to put [them] on notice that [they] qualified as an unlawful user of drugs under the statute." United States v. Edwards, 38 Fed. Appx. 134, 138 (4th Cir. 2002), cert. denied, --- U.S. ---, 123 S.Ct. 1764 (2003).

and since cannabis is illegal at the federal level, they consider a cannabis user ineligible to own a firearm. this is how they they can twist a situation to screw u over

I agree completely, but some folks may not be aware of the laws, and this thread was asking, so there it is.

Yea, I know that if I find myself in a federal prosecution its going to be an added charge. The fed boogeyman can come get anyone of us though.

Thank everyone of you for the comments and judicial quotes. Think I might just hit the recreational dispensaries, until the Law makers figure it out them selves .

I live in CO. I have had county sherrif here due to a domestic and they left me alone after determining I had a locked grow area, only 70 of 129 plants and NO FIREARMS. I would be in prison if any of the above conditions were not met. Yes narcotics did the count.

100%. Before counting they added up numbers from our papers and their limit going in was 129 (99 + 15 +15).

They said before starting that nobody is ever compliant but after seeing my op the narcotics officers left pleased that I was compliant.

I had a massive gun collection before I moved to Co. Figured i was already damned just for growing. Now that growing is legit in Co I dont wanna mess up a good thing.
