Red Blood(sap)?First Topping W/ LST

OK here's the deal. This is my first grow. And after much debate I decided to top as well as tie down.

The plan is to take the two new main branch's and wrap them around the rim of the pot in opposite directions.

But when I finally made the cut for the topping a red liquid leaked out. Almost like blood and its still stained red.

Did I fuck up really bad some how or is this normal??

It's normal.. Never seen any "red" substance leak out of any of mine in the 15 years of growing, however I have seen them seep clear liquids after being topped 4 sure..

Did you maybe cut yourself while you were toping the plant?lol

Lol yea its normal. just plant pigments, some of mine will do it, some won't. cold temps and osmotic pressure play a role

Yea it was definetly red. Only thing i could think of would be bc the stems are redish.

After you made me double guess my self i rechecked my hands and I'm not cut anywhere.

So the way I understand it is what would have been that node sets secondary growth now turns into 2 shoots of primary growth?

Damn nice call dude. So by cutting it forced the guttation out apposed to just seeping out the leaves. Wish i would have ate it now
