Recommendations , i started drying yesterday

I started drying my blue dream haze plant after i trimmed and manicured all the good stuff out of it. Im using this storage bin i picked up at IKEA to dry it all (enclosed a picture of it) and I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations to make the drying process better. Its in a dark humid free room right now and was just wondering if i was missing anything or if im good to go for drying and curing it next. Again thank you guys for all the great advice. I also enclosed a picture of the finished product, not bad for my first go at it

I like to dry until the outside is crispy and the inside is moist. Put in air tight container for 12ish hours the first times. Every time the 12 hours comes around I lay them out on paper to get crispy outside again and back in the jar. I take it out when the outside is wet so sometimes it is sooner sometimes later. I get great smelling stuff with no powdery mold. Sounds like you did it good as long as they fill up the whole bin. Excessive air in containers messes with my head haha. And also dries it too much once cured.

Whats going on man. From my experience i have found that the slower the dry the better. You do not want the product to dry too fast thus locking in chlorophyll and affecting the taste and smell. By allowing the product to slow dry you will get a smoother, more aromatic and tastier product once the final cure is done. Personally i dry the whole plant after i chop all intact for about 2 days then start stripping the fan leaves, etc. I have found for my personal situation and environment this works the best and allows me a few extra days on the dry which results in more time for the product to work through the chlorophyll breakdown process. Of course you want to watch for mold. Once i have slightly crunchy buds and stems that half snap/half bend ( hard to explain) i then jar and cure. I have even gone as far as laying a slightly damp paper towel on top of the buds while drying for a few hours to reintroduce moisture back into the product just to ensure it doesn't dry too fast. I'm only supplying my own medicine so i like to be a little pickier than some. Hope this helps:peace:

Rob you must have responded right when i did!! Rob is spot on here great info!

So since the bud is sitting in racks with air all around it , how long should I let it dry like that before going into curing. 3,4 days?

Depends on if you leave the leaves on or kids. Hang drying takes mine 2 days to get crunchy on the outside.. maybe 3. That was with a light breeze. If you have no breeze in there it will be more humid between the layers. So if on the rack with 40-50% humidity, 75 degrees would take about that yeah.. just going off my hang dry with same afore mentioned stats.
