Check out the Vander Life LEDs on E-bay or Amazon. They use similar chips to the HGL and put out a goodly amount of umols at short distance 8-18 inches say. the "1500" is a ~225 wall watt an did a good job for me on a single auto, about $80 with two drivers, fans, case and expansion plug. The "1000" is about 140 wall watts and doesn't have the expansion plug, ~$60. They run pretty cool and quiet.
For a 3x3 I'd say 2 "1500" or three "1000" will do pretty well.

I don't know a lot about LEDS but those look like junk...and if you look in the specs, actual power consumption is only 140 watts. Not 225.

Light will be used for autoflowers in a 3x3 space. Just looking to help a friend out to give a quality product link to show them, and I'm not to experienced with autoflowers and automated dtw.

I am biased to a 600w hps/mh setup, but they are not to keen on that choice because of the ballast noise

Cheers to any links to suggestions in this price range

Run a 600. Use the rest of the budget for venting.

The Amazon page I looked at is showing 140 watts for the 1500. Check it out. Could be an error. Pretty glaring error in terms of sales!

Leds power: 1500W
LED chips: Real Brand New Epileds Chips
Actual power consumption:140w±3%
What does this mean "LED chips: Real Brand New Epileds Chips"
(not second hand but years old stock bought at auction for next to nothing)

Can I sacrifice the extra 40 watts & have this one instead?

So you're telling me that a bulb in a fixture attached to the ballast in a tent together puts off no heat and needs no ventilation at all while a bulb only in a fixture with no ballast at all puts out tons of heat?

Dude, stop smoking. You've had enough.
You obviously don't bother to read your own damn thread:

And that's just page one, dumbass. The first 4 are under 200 dollars.
cxm’s!!! Very functional AND cheap

I use cobs,?CXM’s at 1400ma which is around 300watts. Cost me a bit under 300$ to build. BUT I have a vipar 600reflector series that grows nice buds also. I have done side by sides.... not a ton of difference. The vipar is a decent fixture for 159 $ on Amazon. Just my 2cents

No I did not, and will not, as mentioned he is looking for a 4 board setup now for coverage in corners
Youre looking for a 4 board setup for 300$? not gonna happen. Build a DIY light or buy a HPS. You aren't going to get 4 boards for 300$ unless you do something like the QB120's off amazon or the 132.

Why do so many of the drivers mention 230v? Alot of ads and specs say 95% efficient when powered by 230v, can those drivers not be run at 110v? To confusing I shoulda stayed in math class

The omega lighting link you posted has some interesting lights, Im surprised the 400w light literally has no information even on the website, doesn say what strips, overall dimensions, which drivers, umol info etc. Is there a reason you recommended them, possibly over these board setups??
They run on 110v, the driver just gets more efficient if you use a 240v.
Also if you notice.. They all use the same Samsung strips. Even if he didn't post any information on it, its pretty much the same basic information for all his lights. Unfortunately he passed away so those aren't an option.

That;s really weird, in March the ad said the "1500" was 225 watts. If they were honest inthe ad, the specrum is nice and the Lux/Cp is pretty high. Lots of the HGL lights are more or less the same LUX, umols. THey seem to work well. I guess I was duped, I might as well smoke the bud though, six quart jars from one Auto is fine with me.
