Recipes for shrooms?

I’ve heard Golden Teachers and Blue Meanies mentioned but what is the most potent strain? How does it compare to the psilocybin mushrooms of the 70’s?

Likely the most potent species are the wood chips inhabiting species like Psilocybe azurescens, Psilocybe cyanescens and Psilocybe subaeruginosa.
Similar in the alkaloid content are the dung inhabiting species Panaeolus cyanescens and Panaeolus tropicalis.
Also very potent is the pasture growing species P. semilanceata but the cultivation of the later is extremely difficult.
Psilocybe cubensis is slightly less potent but the easiest to cultivate, that being the reason why it's so popular.
The exact alkaloid content varies greatly even from one specimen to another within the same species.

I can vouch for the tea... not sure if psilocybin is soluble in water... but it has to be... because if you take a bunch of mushrooms.... rip them into small little hunks (don't bust it) and drop it into a cup... add a teabag and some boiling water and drink the tea... (don't eat the soggy mushrooms after... tried that didn't do shit just tasted gross)... The tea kicks in fast and gets you fucked up... and if you mix with a teabag you cant even taste the shrooms!!

So I guess that my nubee question is: What is the easiest to grow and best bang for the buck on strains? If stealth is the prime objective, what is the best choice for potency? .
hanks much! Fly disover;t.

I've read the Golden Teachers are usually what beginners start with..To be honest most Cubensis are similar in potency, and they all taste like shit, lol. Some prefer different humidities, some are easier to grow than others... Keeping a sterile or as clean as possible environment for the shrooms during all stages of the cultivating process is key..

There is no magic strain that will produce good results, for the most part its all in your technique.

But for beginners, look for strains that are heavily domesticated such as golden teacher or Ecuador. B+ is a good candidate aswell.

The reason I suggest domesticated strains that that you will be working with multispore inoculations. When you are more experienced, you will start to isolate or clone strains.

Is the entire shroom (including the stem) consumed or just the tops? Thanks for the good info so far!

The entire mushroom is consumed, both the stem and cap contain psilocybin and psilocin which are the active compounds.

Although some may argue that caps will contain more actives compared to stems. But scientifically this has not been proven.

How much would someone not familiar with the animal consume, 1/3 to 1/8th of a gram or something else? I’ve heard that fresh is more potent than dried, is that correct? Thanks

The dose depends on the potency and how prepared you are mentally but make sure you take enough to actually trip. If not you will just get the giggles and have racy thoughts

For starters I would recommend 1 gram of dried mushrooms.

Mushrooms are 90% water. should you decide to consume fresh mushrooms, you would have to take 10x the amount to that of dried mushrooms.

EG 10 grams of fresh mushrooms = 1 gram of dried mushroom. When you dry 10 grams of fresh mushrooms, you will be left with 1 gram of dry.

They will have around the same amounts of actives given they are from the same batch.

cut them up, or dry them really well and put them in an electric coffee grinder, this will powderize them. then melt some chocolate in a double boiler, and only get the chocolate hot enough to melt. mix in the chunks or powder and then pour what ever size discs you want onto wax paper and let them cool. you're going to destroy some of the psilocyban using any more heat then that.
i just made some chocolate and waiting for it to cool.
i've eaten them fresh, on pb&j sandwich, brewed tea, but never chocolate.
i mixed in 6 g's, should be a good night:mrgreen::peace:

you can also put shrooms in panty hose, boil 4 20 mins, let cool, squeeze excess from shroomm bag, add liquid to picture of water 1 pack of kool-aid, 2 cups of suger, and pour over ice...chics dig this....2 glasses will do you

Every time I ate fresh shrooms I took less then the time I ate the dried ones. You trip way harder on fresh ones from my experience.Have you ever took fresh shrooms?its great and you should do it if you thought you weren't gonna trip from them or something thats bullshit you will trip way harder.

I have never tried fresh mushrooms, for the reason of more bulk to consume.

I find it easier to consume it without all the water weight.

There are lots of factors determining potency of a trip. If your mushrooms are form multispore inoculation, they will vary from fruit to fruit.

Also if you ingest them on a empty stomach, or with food or on a full stomach matters aswell.

Sometimes they are taken with lemon or orange juice and this is known to boost potency to a new level.

MAO inhibitors also make the trip last alot longer. If you are taking medications that contain them.

weight aswell, people tend to forget to weigh out their doses, and think a fruit body of the same size of last time will be the same weight, but infact some fruits will be hollow and some will be meaty. its almost impossible for us to feel a difference of 1-5 grams in the hand.

I do belive you that fresh mushrooms might make you trip harder, but these trip reports would have to be very controlled for the results to be conclusive.

They make a diffirence as the ratio of the 3 active alkaloids (to each other) changes as you dry it.

This I definitely agree with, as psilocin is very unstable and breaks down easily when exposed to air or touch, as opposed to its counterpart psilocybin which is much more stable and doesn't break down as easily.

Its safe to say that a large amount of psilocin is lost in the drying process.

As the ratios of actives change, so does the potency.
