Reaping Grams

Instead of a grow journal, I am just going to show harvests. Its a lot less time consuming than logging everything I do with my grow, and gives me a lot more to showcase because I can include buds from grows I have harvested. Going to work on getting a good surface/background to take pictures on that will show the buds better and not reflect so much.

I reaped these buds with a Centurion Pro Tabletop machine trimmer, I got a few grams of each (dried) as a gift:

This is Gelato, I was given a mother of it as a gift. Amazingly potent weed, cannot wait to get a crop of it for myself! I was told the breeder is Elev8 seeds.

This is their Blue Chemdawg. It was the most difficult to trim but still turned out decent.

This is their Girlscout Cookies.

Really liking machine trimming, and with this tabletop trimmer I can be set up in 20 mins and taking down crops. Dense bud trims up the best. Foxtailed bud needs a lot of quality checking. Finally got a crew to work with me so I can get crops down even faster and I can quit missing so much stem when I quality check. It leaves more leaf than a mechanical/hand trim but good still very happy with it.

This was around a half pound of a Kush after it dried, mechanically trimmed wet, cannot remember the actual name:

It took 3 loads in a 24 inch bowl trimmer to trim. The bowl trimmer is great for hitting small crops with. I can show up, sweat my ass off cranking bud through, and be gone without having to set up equipment or making a lot of noise. Saves a lot of time and gives access to harvesting services for the smaller growers.

More updates in the future. I have a good size harvest lined up for early/mid September and a lot lined up in October. If I get any more gifts I will be sure to share the pics. Wish I would have taken more pictures of previous reaps.

Have a good night.

I use to have afew as I called them 'Hippies' that came up to Lake County' Cali about the 1st of Oct and stayed in vans or tents for afew weeks, they came just to trim locals herbs... Sad thing about outdoors,,,, feast or famine'''.... Crops were done by Nov early....

That trimming,,, is that main reason I downsized my gardens... And Miss J has been getting stiff in the joints nowadays.... She's trimmed every plant I've grown for the past 12 years.. At a max of 25 pounds some years...

Besides,, the market for a Mom and Pop's Blackmarket,,, ain't one.. Unless your happy with 100 per OZ for Top Shelf... Lucky if you get 75$ for outdoor prime tops..... Least here in Oregon..

They have billboards claiming 99$ Oz's on the freeway... I see where peoples are buying that shit up and doing a flip back to NY and such and reselling it for 300-350 per??????? I grow my smoking dope inside.. The outdoors,,, mostly budder product. I mean I take the main head's, colas, and strip everything else cept fan leaves,, for the budder and or Rick Simpson Oil. I do have acouple peoples that got called with cancer,, and I make Oil for them.. Does it work?
I and Miss J were both diagnosed with Cancer the same month.. Miss J had'''' breast cancer... Me throat cancer... Took all the nodes out,,, but could never find the primary source????? RSO??? Could be????

But isn't a market for it anymore,,, least here.... So I downsized... Cept I need a year's supply of secondary buddgae.... I can gt by comfortable with 10-12 plants a flip...... But as of late,, I've only been working with 6 or so.......

Man, I'm lucky my camera still works as gummed up as she is... Rubbing alcohol and an old sock??

My family from Cali experienced similar problems, they had to sit on their weed half a year before it sold and it was ~600$ a pound. Seems like a slap in the face to me. Lets you know what the future for the rest of the country looks like. I profit off working for established indoor and outdoor growers who are competing with each other. These new people have no idea the undertaking of harvesting, nor can they afford to hire a machine trimmer. I refuse to work for them anyway, their low quality product is going to kill Michigan's market this winter and its hard for me to respect them when they didn't have the balls to get into the game until it was legal and easy for them.

The cheap ass customers willing to to buy their shit product is also going to make the market fall through. The customer never understands or appreciates all the hard work, manpower, and logistics that go into getting them a bag of weed. Most will choose considerably lower quality weed just to save 5-10$, its quite sad really. This country has been so poor for so long that its normal for them now and they are content with everything in their life being low quality.

$100 an ounce for bulk here in Michigan, it retails for twice as much. I do see a lot of dealers selling $20 sacks and only making $160/ounce. Killing their profit to keep customers. Once you figure in gas/travel they are making even less money. Large growers sell for $1200-1400/lb to their distributors who make ~$1600 selling to dealers.

As for RSO, I don't think it was the cause of the cancer. It has cancer fighting properties. I think the main way it helps is through keeping people positive, dulling pain, and increasing appetite. If you where dabbing it, the constant damage from heat/cutting agent might have caused it. Burning rolling papers might also. I am not a doctor, so its hard to tell, and I don't think a doctor would give you an honest answer anyway. They want you to have cancer they will make $100k+ off you having it. You getting cancer is their crop going into bud. All the money for cancer research just helps them find out how to give it to you easier. Everything that happens in this country is based on financial gain, not morals. Morals are the excuse they use to impose more laws and other ways to profit off from you. An easy cure for cancer would kill entire industries. That's my opinion on it.

Best of luck with your grows, I wish they where more profitable for you. I think you would have to get away from the west coast or get an eastern connection. If you can get a year of heavy medication it still seems worth it.

Got some more work lined up, going to be gone 21 days in October if no one cancels or goes under by then. If I can get some one that harvests late October (almost no one in Michigan lol) I can get the entire month of good work. The search for people crazy enough to grow Sativas in Michigan continues...

I was growing pot for years and with no progress, met some well established growers that seen something in me, and everything continues to synchronize. The biggest growers I know are all getting older with booming grows, so they will gladly hire some one to trim. Its less people involved with their grow and they love having their crop down and on the dry rack in a day or two. A quicker harvest also means quicker crop rotations. I help them transplant their veg plants into bud and clean their rooms, if they need, so everything can run like clockwork. One grower hooks you up with other growers that hook you up with other growers and it just keeps building.

I honestly love trimming more than I do growing, but my love for marijuana is so strong I will never quit growing. My grow seems to keep improving because I get to see the end product of other growers and see how their environment, training, and feeding affected their end product. Its a great learning experience and you get to play with a lot of pot.

You can get a cheap trimmer like mine for around 3500. It's the entire set up like I showed above. Can't really explain how to run one properly in text but it is very easy once you throw the manufacturer's recommendations out the window. It helps to have good experience with hand trimming because you will need to quickly hit stems and anything the trimmer missed. Takes a lot of attentiveness. I bought the folding table from home depot to make the job way easier. Keep as little bends out of your airflow as possible for a cleaner trim.

Larger crops are best with a 3 man crew. Take one plant down at a time by the stalks and debud them enough to get a load for the trimmer going. 2 people debud the stalks while you run the trimmer. When they fully debud a plant, they join you in quality checking or getting the next plants debudded. Small crops can be done working alone.

I am still not out of the woods yet and no where near where I want to be professionally.

30+ Gallons of Haze buds on the stems makes around 15 gallons of plucked buds, and that makes around 9 gallons of trimmed buds, and that should make around 2 gallons of dry weed. This is the most I have got off one plant so far. It was at 11 weeks, was going to go longer but it was only growing new foxtails with white hairs.

Thanks for being an ass buck, it motivated me to get the place cleaned up. Needed the sting, I might even consider that constructive criticism. Nothing I can do about it being old rusty shack though lol. Other than keep getting 30oz a plant and buy a new shack.
