Really nasty fuel smell while drying...

I've just harvested two purple jems that had a really good mj smell while growing ...then a few days into drying, the buds reek of a fuel-like smell....really strong fuel-like.....really nasty......same thing with a plant last year resulted in the buds tasting the same...really nasty fuel.........
Grown in mg organics...only fed organic molasses every two weeks....as I stated, really good "fresh bud" smell when harvested but reeking of fuel after a few days drying.....
Please help me eliminate this as the same thing happened to 1 plant out of 5 last year....although the high was good, the taste/smell of fuell was almost sickening and hard to smoke.....since I only vape now, the taste is really bad......
Help me "cure" this problem.......

After dry give it a llloooonnngggg cure in some mason jars like at minimum of a month and you should be good to go. Also do you have any pictures of the pj's?

Sorry, no pics....even tho the buds do have a purple hue to'em, mine didn't get as purple as a purple plant I had last year. The fuel smell is more like kerosene or diesel fuel....a nasty chemical like smell. Last year, I actually thought that my gf over-ferted or something.....The plant that smelled like that from last years crop never changed, even after months of jar cure. I just bagged it for just-in-case I get hard up. This time around, I'm gonna put some citrus peels in my cure jar and try to make the taste more palatible.
Last year, I bought various tasty puff flavors but the fuel taste couldn't be overcome.....
Right beside it was some pineapple express and flying dutchman pure...those buds were absolutely awesome in taste, smell and effect! I've got to solve this fuel smell problem....as those buds are absolutely nasty tasting.

Yikes if it doesn't go away after curing I don't know what to tell you. That suck cause I was think about getting some of those beans too, I wonder if other people growing the PJ's are having the same experience?

Having grown several rounds of lowryder strains, this is the first to smell like this. Last years plant that reeked of fuel was barney's farm LSD. I'm sure if this is typical of purple jems, it would be plastered everywhere so don't be wary of'em just because of this post. They're some nice looking plants and are vigorous.

I can't imagine anyone liking a "fuel" taste/smell.....I really like a skunk smell but this fuel odor is really nasty. I may be forced to "burn" it in a joint or pipe but it is far too nasty tasting to vape it.
