I've been looking myself and anything under 2" return pipes is too small. Round containers + large holes doesn't work well for sealing leaks so the square black ones work best.

Yep, my next setup will be the PAhydroponics Fallponics system, that's if this DWC setup is a disaster.

I did a water change, pH and nutrients last night on 3 buckets, took less than an hour so it wasn't too bad. One thing I'm happy about when moving away from RDWC is all the tubes and hoses eliminated from my tent. The setup just feels more simple and clean now.
