For less than $15.00 you can buy a handheld microscope from Radioshack. You can look at the trichomes to verify when they are ready. The one I have is 60x - 100x magnification and works great. Check out the GrowFAQ at the top of each page. By monitoring the trichs you will know exactly when they are ready. Anything else is a guess.

Its likes more time get a scope and look at the trics.The 1 in my avatar is ak47 at 30 days flower its not auto but i dont think it matters.IVE been growing this same strain from clones for almost 2 yrs now,its been real hard to get it to taste good ive tried hydro and soil and ive been growing inside for 5 yrs now.But it is Killer couchlock i crossed it with juicy fruit and Ill see in about 2 months what it taste like as the JF is real sweet.OH yea what lights u using,cfls,hid,hps,mh.

Stop feeding nutes? Oh..I don't know that...
M light are 125+30 fluo
You stop feeding nutes two weeks before you plan to harvest ,, then you just give the plant water ..That is ""FLUSHING"" the plant ,It gets rid of the chemicals and makes for a smother smoke .. Do some research .. You 'll see
